An diesem späten Nachmittag hatte ich noch etwas Zeit. Also noch
einmal die Staffelei aus dem Auto geholt und diese kleine Ortschaft
gemalt. Nichts aufregendes, auch die Sonne stand nicht optimal um
diese Zeit. Hauptsache das Papier ist bearbeitet und ich kann meinem
        Chef etwas vorzeigen.

That late afternoon I had some time left. So once again the easel
taken out of the car and painted this small village. Nothing exciting,
even the sun was not at its best around that time. As long as the
paper is finished and I can show something to my boss.

        Format/Size: 35 x 50 cm
        Papier/Paper: Canson fine face 250gr
        Farben/Colors: gemischte Marken/mixed brands
        OD = Outdoor/ID = Indoor

Hmmm? “Show it to your boss???” Does that mean you are doing these paintings for for someone else . . . for a publication . . . or something?

I must admit, your work looks very clean, professional, and as though it could be instantly inserted into a publication.

No, no publication – my wife is my boss!
(She wants me to “work” something and not precious
spend time drinking coffee and eating cake.)

I drink coffee, eat cake and paint at the same time – great combination. Just have to make sure I don’t confuse the umbers with the glazed chocolate on the Sacher Torte.

I do like the slight contre-jour effect of the afternoon sun, especially the background trees. A job well done – worth c&c.

As long as there is light, I will paint it.
