With these projects you can be serious or just do it for fun. The important thing is that it gets you painting. And sometimes trying new things.
Wow Clode, you really tried a lot of things. A very good learning experience.
Did I say I would post today? I meant tomorrow. lol

Every painting is a new adventure.October 22, 2019 at 10:22 am #889148Claude – wow! Such wonderful textures and experimentation here!
I’m so impressed with them and thinking how they can be used ……. #3 looks like a miniature abstract landscape! Thank you for joining us.:)Merri – I do think the technique works better on an absorbent surface; when I tried on gessoed card it took forever to dry!
The other thing you can do is fill a little syringe or pipette with a different colour and shoot it down some of the creases – fun and nice patterns!Cheers, Maureen

I really like the egg shells effect, reminds me of light shining on a large diamond. but I like them all.
Well done , excellent experimentation.
cheers

October 23, 2019 at 10:07 am #889162I was good this year, I didn’t buy any Halloween decorations, instead I made one, and got 2 wetcanvas projects done at the same time.
I used some gel medium to add texture to the tree and build up the post, and sand at the bottom, painted over, and then some glitter to add a little magic. Done on mixed media paper and then glued to an old silver tray. The picture is about 5″ in diameter.

(Recuperating from surgery and I try and paint how I feel – Therefore “Outhouses” was this month. ) I just finished this and there is some texture in the snow-winter and tulips-spring. This is one I did for fun for my bathroom.

Every painting is a new adventure.October 24, 2019 at 12:04 pm #889166Oh, what a challenge! Here is my painting using a textured paste using: baking soda, school glue, acrylic and water. I started with a palette knife, then the end of my paint brush, a sponge, and almost anything else that I thought might work. This is on a 9 x 12 canvas board. Comments and questions welcome. Glad to be done with this Chickadee!
