DIFFERENT STROKES NOV. 2023 – Acrylics Challenge!

I inherited a variety of new colors so I had some fun trying new combinations. Had some interesting surprises. I thought “I’ll mix these up quickly and then do a quick, easy painting with them as I don’t have much time.” Well, that didn’t work out like expected. I ended up being in a hasty mood and the mixing went great, but not the painting. I ended up painting over everything in my brown. I guess I have a background for another painting?

Oh dear Ozean …. good plans don’t always go as we wish  but I’m sure the next attempt will!

At present, I seem to be out or getting stopped every day …. My intentions are good, the attempts to find my easel are not!??

Hmmm…well about that. Still pondering ideas. I mixed some brown paints today if that counts. And, no tubes of brown paint were harmed or involved in the process either.

Been done for a week or so. Learned that certain colors do not yield any reasonable shade of anything. I’ll show my pallet to prove I did not cheat.

It was a busier than expected week, so I am running behind.

I found a reference among my photos and primed it. Haven’t figured out what combinations to use to get my browns. Needless to say I will be late this month. I am not going to check in on or after reveal date so as not to let other people’s choices influence my explorations. But I will be interested to see what colour combinations peole end up using to create their browns.

Making progress, yeh! I hope to finish it tomorrow but have spent much of today with one of my banks trying to unfreeze account, due to fraud activity three weeks ago. Wasted a lot of time today on phone, three times! Have been told to ring again tomorrow but at least they’ve given me the number of the person dealing with my problem! Fingers crossed!??
