Well, I might have started one…I’ll see if the watercolor-and-saran-wrap trick works with watered down acrylic and plastic bag.
July 4, 2019 at 2:12 am #848647It worked… just took off a little bit of paper…
July 4, 2019 at 6:58 am #848679It sounds very interesting Maryinasia, I have no idea, but it sounds like you are being creative and having fun.. Mysterious at the very least. Well done for trying something different.

I have loved the effects this gives in watercolor. Never tried with acrylics, will give it a go.

July 4, 2019 at 10:36 am #848648works better with watercolor
July 4, 2019 at 12:37 pm #848599It even works with slightly thicker acrylics, as long as it’s still wet when you add the clingfilm …… and it works brilliantly with acrylic inks!:)
Cheers, Maureen

So I will wait until I get home for a different window.:wink2:

Maureen, my loo window , I pulled it apart years ago and made a lead light of a magpie scene. I don’t mind showing you a pic, but its daytime, and the best effect is at night time.

I’m considering that! I painted the huge front window and realized I should have painted the outside and then painted the window in. There are so many panes of glass I would never be able to do a decent rendering of the outside. It is a beautiful scene for a city but I seldom have the curtains open.
But I want to remain creative…..

Hi All, I am happy to oblige. Taken this shot tonight from outside looking at the wall.
The house is old with the old fashioned sash windows.
I knocked out both, did the ‘cartoon’ and spent some time… mostly Sat nights in the shed putting this together. ( Not in that order, cartoon first, then make, then replace ) I am talking about more than 20 yrs ago. I chose the magpie to represent the 4 that have lived in the front garden for years.
Yes, I know lead light is not fashionable anymore… but it fits this house. This is not my topic nor scene for the challenge.
cheers
