Let us know if you post it somewhere though.
I finally finished my Inktense project, which I posted in the cafe. But I probably won’t start this project until next week.
C&C always welcome. Michelle

If you do Mary, don’t buy the sticks ….. at least for me, I don’t like them …. pans or pencils might be better!
Almost done, some refining then it should be as finished as it’s going to get!!

June 21, 2021 at 5:52 am #1416780G’morning all!
I’m posting this to stop myself doing anymore fiddling as there are two other pieces I need to do this week …. WDE and the Plant Parade orchid …. considered a twofer but Assaf didn’t include an orchid and I wanted to use his ref.
Difficult to get a good photo, so here’s my offering, rough as it is! Approx 10″ square piece of mount board.
Ok, I’ve started the ball rolling…. c’mon Peeps!?
Cheers, Maureen

I am well out of my comfort zone with florals, so this was a real challenge to me. Anyway here’s my effort, its 30 x 40 cm …

June 21, 2021 at 7:24 am #1416806Okay, here goes! I have never done a CLOSE-UP before so this a test for me. 16×20 on stretched canvas
Also, when I was working on it my hubby saw something in the underpainting that I decided to have a bit of digital fun with.
Here is “Stoner Dude” who was in my flower.
I will be back to comment on everyone’s works later.
Thanks for hosting Assaf
Cindy

Cindy

Every painting is a new adventure.June 21, 2021 at 9:41 am #1416849Criteria, that’s very pretty and complex!
Cindy, a first? Wow, really well done and love the hidden fun image! Your husbandhas a good eye!
Thank you for thecomments on mine …
Michelle, the base reds are W&N perylene red and Amsterdam Expert quinacridone Rose with Crystal indigo ….. then I used cad red to lighten the lightest areas, didn’t want to use white and yellow glaze didn’t work. A final glaze of the quin rose brought out the richness ….. photo was difficult, but found taking one in the evening without any direct light came closest to the work.

I’ll post my attempt at the rose first! I kept forgetting what side was what… and losing my place as I painted! (I hope this gives others courage!)
And then while out walking I found myself taking pictures of daisies blooming. I’m more comfortable with daisies.
They are both the same size as i painted the daisy over the poor excuse for a rose!
