Old Hobbyist and Maureen, thanks for sharing about those tributes. I hadn’t heard of them.

I had quite the surprise…I am also done with my painting! I had an urge to paint quickly, so I did with something reasonable to present. This is highly unusual for me, so it’s pretty exciting.

I agree Ozeanbay, those tributes are a wonderful idea.  Unfortunately my portrait skills aren’t what I would like so I cannot do them.

Re: the monthly challenge, I am also done, (with a bonus of something my hubby saw in my painting that I couldn’t resist hilighting in a second quick pic.)     I look fwd to seeing everyone else’s work.

  to be fair it’s so humid here, I’m not stepping outside for love or money unless it’s into a pool. You would think in the winter I would get more done but I don’t mind the snow, I can dress for that. But the humidity, ugh!

Yeah, humidity really takes the fun out of summer.

I’m almost done the picture that I started at the beginning of the week that I thought would only take a couple of days. lol So don’t feel bad if you haven’t started yet, I haven’t either.

 kudos to those who have finished I say …. today , it’s not as hot as expected, upper teens C, but breezy again and I’ve done stuff like laundry instead of painting ….. now c’mon, which is really more interesting eh? ?‍♀️

So this week, I MUST, get my act together!

Humidity does make summer tough. I heard a rumor of 108 F here later this week… definitely no humidity though. It’s basically a desert here.

Maureen, my guess is you could probably paint a flower in your sleep, so, no worries!

I’m making progress on the portrait commission – always a trick to get the eyes right – so I’m miles from the floral painting I wanted to get to in this challenge.

I’ll have to be again the last to submit – It’s already half the month, and if I don’t finish the portrait this week I will surely be late. Still, I like painting with a due-date, it’s a wonderful way to remove stress and self-doubt.

I’m so excited to see the submissions from everyone!

Well, I ended up painting my flowers in watercolors, so will miss this challenge. Next month shouldn’t be as busy!
