Well said, Maureen. I did not pick this aspect of the monthly theme with Ukraine in mind, so it is one of those strange coincidences.

Colin,  I thought the same as Maureen,  you choose a blue and yellow,  the Ukrainian flag blue and yellow for the challenge.
I find it amazing that this strange coincidence is so appropriate.

Maureen,  yes,  amazed at the fighting power of the Ukrainian people,   grateful to Poland for taking refugees.

Agreed…it was strangely apt that this challenge was chosen for this month with everything happening in Ukraine. What a heartbreaking situation.

I didn’t end up choosing a sunflower to paint, and I’m still not finished yet, but this is as far as I’m able to get on it by the end of February. I think it’s about 16″×20″.

It’s hard to think about what’s happening there. We can hope and pray but I just feel helpless.
