June 13, 2018 at 12:28 pm #639358HELLO ,
Back from a week plus in Hospital . Short of breath, I went in by ambulance and then bedridden the whole time, not allowed out of bed, they tested me continually night and day . I am now free of Pneumonia and my breathing is better . I have Atrial Fribulation . Not sure of spelling .
They took 6 gallons of water off my heart . I have nursing care for a few weeks . A day and night companion to be with me . I NEED A HAIRCUT AND BATH BADLY, I HOPE I CAN DO IT.
I AM VERY WEAK AND NEED HELP WITH EVERYTHING presently . Hopefully this will improve . Ann was with me the whole time and my niece visited daily .
I am so glad to sleep in my own bed and be home . All the flowers are out and it is so green and lush . I missed my kitty so much too.
looking at 1000’s of mail, LOL

June 13, 2018 at 1:54 pm #639351Hi Everyone! We were promised rain, but it hasn’t happened.
My Students have gone home and I’ve had a bite of lunch… a simple chicken sandwich. Last night’s dinner (for me) was just a cup of my homemade broth. My inners are feeling a little better. The fever and chills have stopped, so I’m definitely on the mend.
Ted’s gone to lunch with a couple of retired paramedics. I have the house to myself. I love the quiet. Simon is writing his exam today and Ted said he and his buddies would hold hands and offer up positive energy for the young man.
Shaw Direct came out this morning to work on our satellite reception. They had to move the dish to a different place on the roof and things seem to be fine. Our internet, not so much. I watch a live stream art show every Tuesday evening and every Tuesday evening our connectivity disappears. After yesterday’s repairs, guess what? Yup… no internet. Another Provider is coming out tomorrow to assess our situation.
I’m still working on my architectural pour and the Class is finishing their loons. I worked on mine this week and it was done… but I was able to help them while doing my own thing. I still have a lot of work to do on my painting, but it’s making progress. It’s not been my favourite subject.
And for Linda, this group will be painting her adorable waving Mallard. I hope you’re feeling ok and just lurking.
Sylvia, did your Dr. fear you have glaucoma in both eyes? Your experiment should be interesting.
Bless your heart for wanting to all that work done by yourself, Steve! BIG project!!!
Wow, Ellen! How exciting that your books will arrive so quickly… you’re amazing that you were able to get it written so quickly!
Oh my gosh, Bill… take it easy today so you don’t exacerbate whatever is going on with your shoulders.
(((JJ))) What an awful, awful time. I hope you’re feeling some better today.
Uschi, I think that your Doctor IS smart… I’m absolutely positive that many Doctors wouldn’t have even considered this diagnosis! He/she has likely saved your life.
That’s too bad about your pool filter leak, Sharon.
(((June))) Oh my gosh! How frightening for you. Please take care of yourself and get well!Hi Nancy and Doug…
I got a break in the action before posting this because my eldest called me and we chitty chatted for more than an hour.
Have a great balance to your day or evening!

June 13, 2018 at 2:40 pm #639364June…as a fellow AF sufferer it is easy to live with, honestly, and very common, certainly over here….So good luck with that and all your other problems.
Had a lovely lunch today, I was just reflecting on what Doug said a couple of days ago about the difference in US portions and ours.
Starter was pressed ham hock ( about 3 inches x one inch x one inch) dressed with pea leaves and shaved beetroot. Our main course was Loin of Lamb, the loin itself was about the size of ,say, a Zippo lighter and was served with a small portion of creamed potato and curly Kale ( which I swapped for green beans) and a thick sauce. Finally, Creme Brulee in a small dish with blueberries and redcurrants…..lovely……OK this was fine dining portions and would normally expect somewhat larger in a restaurant. We had five minutes of rain an hour ago,and that was it…forecast is Storm Hector during night with high winds and rain.
Leg been a ‘bit of a pain’ today.

June 13, 2018 at 2:47 pm #639362Well, I figure I have about 75 lbs. of partially dried, worm poop. Who would believe that a few thousand worms could poop so much in a year. But, then, I do give them a lot of garbage, coffee grounds and ground egg shells to eat.
I’m going to setup my six year old neighbor with a small vermiculture farm. He and his day love to go fishing.Geoff, I’m surprised there aren’t more skinny people in England. I counted about five mouths full.
Char, glad you’re feeling better.

June 13, 2018 at 2:53 pm #639349I thought I’d be tired and need a nap, not yet, maybe when I start reading my book.
I tried to fix an unsightly stitch in my knitting, too much damage done so I ripped 7 rows out and will continue soon.
Had my lunch, came on the computer and thought that considering all these anesthetics I have had lately I better do something for my brain and went back to Lumosity[/URL] These are fun games that give the brain a real workout. Addictive too, Lulu you will love it:D You will be endlessly competing against yourself. I used to do the games 2 – 3 years ago and at that time I got so good that I was in the top percentage for my age. Not so good today, need more practice again.
They say even knitting a pattern is excellent for the brain and best of all Table Tennis.
Oh June, more pumps in the road, or was it a little mountain, anyway you bobbed over the pumps and you DID IT:grouphug: and Continue the good work!!
Char, I was looking for an update to your Kitchen Reno Thread:confused:  So glad you are feeling better, what did you eat to bring on this misery????. What a nuisance this internet business is. Your trees are just getting too high. Maybe the neighbours would let you put the dish on their tall antenna thing. What are the other neighbours using?????? I checked the radar and no storms heading our way either.
Bill, welcome to the not so pleasant “arm and shoulder problem club”. Absolutely miserable when there is work to be done or table tennis to be played:D
See what happens when I try and take it easy, I am constantly pestering you all:D

June 13, 2018 at 2:59 pm #639354Hi there!
It was gray and overcast this morning but by early afternoon the clouds left and blue skies arrived with tons of sunshine. It’s humid and 80F. It’s quite windy though.
Larry said it’s horribly hot in their shop. He worked 12 hours the last two days but I told him NO for tonight. We have to go get him a new pair of athletic shoes and run a few errands. We are leaving on Friday so we need to get these done.

Must admit it was somewhat less than I would normally eat for lunch, but then I wouldn’t be paying those rates either!

June 13, 2018 at 5:27 pm #639345Char, I follow several RV’ers who need fast reliable internet to upload their daily videos. Several get theirs via a fast mobile connection with a booster to improve the signal. Here’s one couple who are experts on the subject on YouTube.
They also have a website on the subject.
