Good day all,
A very wet and storm night. Sunshine now.
Doug, hope your workers are there.
Lulu, I have a lot of fun with my hair cutter, too. Oh wait, it’s me. Gary is the same age as Ms. Feral. You seem to be feeling much better. You live in a country of cooperative people. Not so here.
JJ, They look the size of our morning doves. Ms. Feral is back to her old self, DEMANDING. Never give your cat fish flavored olive oil or much of any other oil. It caused stomach problems.
I did mow yesterday for forty-five minutes, then the sky opened up.
Housework today.

September 8, 2021 at 7:04 am #1433615Good morning all,
Getting ready to face the day with a session of high-wind-to-me windsurfing. It is one of the those, “be careful what you wish for” days with the front coming on through later on today.
The pups got their meds and me my coffee and soon my meds…
Happy belated b-day Nancy!
Bill..glad to hear Miss Feral is back to her normal, pushy self!
Doug…Hope the plumbers came and took care of the task at hand.
Lynn…hoping the week goes smoothly for you with little in the way of side effects.
JJ…good luck with your test result interpretations. As Doug said, get a copy and look up the results or at least have them in hand to review yourself.
Char…good to hear that you are able to get the chores done that need your time and effort. That must be both satisfying and uplifting!
Steve…good to hear you are feeling better and better with your BP going back on down and in a more normal place.
Uschi….still warm but not too humid thankfully for you. You will love the laminate as we do. We put it in our kitchen and dining area, and although we needed to throw down big rugs to cover it for Bosgo, the beauty of it shows through nicely.
Gail…good for you, diving on in and preparing yourself for the autumn and winter weather!
Hi Ellen….great photo of the grandsons. They are adorable!
And to all I cannot remember personally without looking back, I wish you the very, very best!!!

September 8, 2021 at 7:20 am #1433625A good Wednesday to all……….another cooler morning, very pleasant with my coffee this morning watching the pre-dawn. Another “cold” front coming through today and temps much cooler for the next 3-4 days………loving it!
No big plans today, will play it by ear. Just one of those days.
Greetings to all………BBL, cats have attacked my leg. “Homan, FOOD NOW”………”Claw my leg just one more time and I’m gonna turn you into weighted fur door stop Mothra…….I’ve already got the bag of lead shot in my closet.”………..
Be good, do good……..stay safe.
Steve.

September 8, 2021 at 7:27 am #1433628Hi all.. A wet day here today but still very hot. I don’t seem to have enough hours in the day at present. I’ve finished the pre exhibition paperwork and sent it out and balanced all the accounts. Finally got the new bank account up and running so that side of things should be easier from now on.
Scrumpy is picking up nicely again so that’s a worry transferred to the back burner. Now I’ve to try and find time to get myself ready for the craft fair I’m doing with my daughter on Sunday.
Belated happy birthday Nancy. Sorry you’re still having problems. I hope your doctor can soon get to the bottom of it.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Lulu and getting out and about again. Good that people are behaving sensibly in your area.
I hope you can get the new van, Char. Well done that you are on your feet, albeit with assistance.
Gorgeous photo, Ellen.
Glad to hear that Ms Ferral is OK, Bill.
Uschi, your new floor is going to look amazing.
So glad that your BP is coming back down, Steve. Take care.
Hope everything goes well for the chemotherapy this week Lynn.
Loved the pigeons JJ.
Hi to all I’ve missed. I’m on my tablet so it’s not possible to go back to refresh the memory but take it for granted, I’ve read and enjoyed all the posts. So to anyone I’ve missed I’ll just say “what everyone else said” and catch up again later.

My websiteSeptember 8, 2021 at 7:48 am #1433636Good Morning! After a series of thunderstorms raged through the night, it’s all sunshine and light breezes this morning.
I don’t have much on my agenda today. My Cleaner will be here at 10:00 and I’ll have to stay out of his way. Other than that, I think I’ll just take things easy.
Ted needs to take our garbage to the Transfer station. Then, he’s making a trip to London to test drive a van with disability options installed. I’m that this will be the answer to our needs for a vehicle that I can get in and out of.
Belated Best Birthday Wishes blasting to Lynn and Nancy!
Doug, darned plumbers! I hope they bother to show up and get this job done!
Lulu, as a kitty familiar, I recognize that pose. That boy does have an amazing voice.
JJ, I love the headdresses on your pigeons!
Annie… it’s a ruse to make you feel safe. Glad you’re double vaxxed!
A good day planned, QS!
Uschi, I think the bigger problem with our inability to talk to real people is there’s no way to escalate problem solving. If we do manage to talk to a person, they are generally reading from scripts and cannot help resolve anything.
Bill, thank goodness Ms. Feral is feeling better.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy your surfing, Adena!
Steve, we all know that you aren’t a big meany.
Joy, you certainly know how to fill your days!! Good luck preparing for your craft fair!
((Lynn)) hope your chemo goes as well as it can.
I brewed our coffee this morning and fed the starving herd their breakfast. I’m washed and dressed… good thing since my Cleaner is due any time now. Have yourselves the very best possible day! :grouphug:

September 8, 2021 at 9:26 am #1433652Good morning. I was up early and within an hour an unexpected rain shower with thunder and lightening arrived. We received enough, that I could turn off the sprinklers for this week. Which is a good thing, because I have another sprinkler head that has a small leak. Over the weekend, the garbage disposal stopped working, so everything is back to normal in joys of owning a house.
Char, I hope that the van is in good condition! That would make it so much easier for your and Ted to run your errands.
I need to call my GP this morning, so I will be back later.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."- EinsteinSeptember 8, 2021 at 10:07 am #1433658Good morning, very pleasant out there, but warm enough in here to have the A/C on, once the sun passes it will go off! Am feeling a bit tentative about the course, just because my endurance isn’t great yet, but may just go for an hour or two to start. She sent out an email with all sensible things as she knows she has some with less experience in the group. I do have enough background so I’m pretty sure what she will be going over today, values, etc. But I need to get the ink on the paper! Here is her website, I like her crows She certainly has a wide repertoire. She has a FB page too.
Am enjoying the tennis, more to come
Thanks for the birthday wishes! It seems strange, not the usual celebration here, but this Saturday will make up for it
Beautiful photo of the boys, Ellen!
that the van is what you want, Char
Sweet kitty, Lulu Yes, I caught him on FB yesterday, most unusual. I wonder where he would fit in, a hard talent to market. Not a counter tenor either.
Hope the guy gets there Doug, very frustrating!
Such beautiful birds, JJ, love them! for the refund.
That was nice, Annie
Happy hair do, QS!
No Uschi, it is on Wednesdays for Sept and Oct, so I should be able to get to most of the classes.
Stormy here too, Bill. The last storm forced me to reboot my modem, but last night it just flicked off and on, and the TV reloaded without rebooting, thank goodness. I have a real tangle of wires behind my screen and forget which one to unplug! I should put a little schema up on the wall. Glad Ms Feral is recovered.
Hi Adena!
Glad Scrumpy is feeling better, Joy
If it isn’t one thing, it’s another, Nancy! That’s why I don’t own a house anymore
Greetings to all here and all to come to washland, have a reasonable day :grouphug:
Cheers, Lynn

I always check to make sure I’m logged on before I do and had just read everyone’s post. This was the first time in awhile I didn’t copy my post first. I don’t have time to retype it (babysitting Maverick) so I’ll see you all tomorrow.

September 8, 2021 at 1:37 pm #1433701Belated Happy Birthday, Nancy!
Okay, I was checking to make sure even though it says I’m logged in I was logged in. I will copy anyway since everyone seems to be having the same issue.
Down to the pool in ships, uh, steps. Swam yesterday and this morning. Lovely today. Now that we don’t have to be out by 9am I don’t feel so rushed to get there, and it’s warmer later. Bit more sun on the water. That said, the humidity is building up again. Rain expected tonight and maybe through tomorrow.
Spoke with my nephew. Apparently it was more guitar cases than guitars, but the amp is gone. And my grand nephew’s drum kit seems to be a total loss. The other thing that was sad is my nephew’s dad was an artist, mostly sculpture, but there were some paintings and other stuff that was in the basement. Very sad because their dad (I have two nephews) passed away when they were kids.
Well seems my landlady wants to replace some windows in my apartment and upstairs. Her daughter who lives upstairs said the guy would either come yesterday or today to measure. Her mom asked him to come today, but guess what, he never returned her call. Wow, that sounds familiar. So I have no idea when he might come.
Adena I hope you had fun windsurfing.
Ellen those are some handsome boys.
Char that the van is a good deal.
Lynn good luck with the new chemo. I hope you have enough energy for the plein air.
Doug I hope the plumber turns up in the near future.
Lulu they are amazing. Sometimes it’s hard to believe they have skeletons.
Oh I’ve forgotten stuff already. Vacuumed in this humidity, and now I’m whacked, so
later,
Kay

September 8, 2021 at 2:12 pm #1433716Hi to all
Today is my day off, I want to relax a little and do nothing. Who can share favorite movies? Also, I am feeling lost a little… I am single for a long time, after the break up I had no serious relationship. I am thinking about online dating, is it worth it? I came across https://datehookup.dating/singles-ms-houston-5.htm and it seems to be a good option. What are your thoughts on this?September 8, 2021 at 2:17 pm #1433718Hi Hitos, welcome to the Wash. Well, there are so many films, but probably a favourite is “Dancing with Wolves”.

We must leave our mark on this worldSeptember 8, 2021 at 2:44 pm #1433727Hiya! Ted bought the van. It is a used Ford Windstar in immaculate condition. The passenger seat rotates out and down, allowing me to pivot from my chair to it. Then it rotates back up into the van. At the back, there’s a winch that will lift a portable electric Jazzy chair into the rear. The chair is included with the van.
The Cleaner has been and gone. He did a fantastic job and the house smells good. My physio therapist arrived in the middle of all this, and she helped me through my exercises with the phone ringing and the vacuum whirring.
I’m putting my feet up for a bit before getting dinner made. Poor Ted is totally done in.

September 8, 2021 at 2:57 pm #1433732That’s a great bunch of news Char, the van sounds ideal and together with a chair! I hope that with your entrance modifications it will help you get out more. Great that the cleaner did a good job, it must be a good feeling to have the house cleaned to your satisfaction. I hope you can find a weekly cleaner to keep on top of it. Sorry that Ted overtaxed himself, I hope he can relax tomorrow.

We must leave our mark on this worldSeptember 8, 2021 at 5:37 pm #1433750Well, it turns out I didn’t, Kay. So will try next week and set up proper transportation. I wanted to use the bus but it’s not happening. And not during chemo week. Glad you got such nice swims!
That is super, Char! Hope Ted recovers quickly ❤
Hi Hitos! Mine is The gods must be crazy! An oldie but goodie.
I loved that one too, Doug. Your young tennis player did so well, as did ours, a changing of the guard perhaps.
Cheers, Lynn

"Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, There is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in" Leonard CohenSeptember 8, 2021 at 6:01 pm #1433752Well, I was waiting to see what the day brings and it provided Audrey and Steve invited themselves for afternoon coffee and were here from 2:00 until after 5:00. Lots of great discussions, a great time was had by all
The weather was absolutely perfect to have all the doors and windows open. I did a bit of weeding after they left, thanks to the rain it was easy to pull things out..

Kay, what a shame about all the damage and all except the paintings can be replaced but still Your landlady seems to be house proud, that is a good thing. Great job with your exercises.
