We must leave our mark on this worldJune 6, 2018 at 5:01 am #635774Poor poor all alone Doug Where is everyone?
Hopefully Geoff is having antibiotics for his cellulitis, Lulu is sitting in front of her fire, I hate to imagine what JJ is doing, Rod is walking his cat or vice versa, Mike has had a good night and the symptoms are subsiding. I said and meant hope.
Here, bad night, slept late. Won’t do that again. Cats went from furious to really really furious. Roger left early for work, so I blamed him.

JJ is lying on her sofa hacking and coughing and smelling sewerUrologist now wants scans of my kidneys and bladder and a cystoscopy done. Sheesh..
Finally someone is coming tomorrow to “look” at it. I cannot believe that it’s taken 4 days to get someone to actually do something about this “Black Water” as it is called. Ugh Doug I did mention that the guy yesterday could not get his camera around the S pipe, so maybe a snake camera will work? Fingers crossed. The smell is back and we haven’t been using the toilet..
I have a Dr’s appointment tomorrow to get results from xray on my knee, and after lunch they will be here. I will eat lunch out, because I cannot eat here..
Love and hugs every body :grouphug::heart::grouphug:

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 6, 2018 at 5:49 am #635760Good Morning all,
It is almost 6:00 a.m. here in turning light Oakwood. The bird chorus is singing loudly outside our open windows. It has been cool enough the last couple of days to turn off the AC and open the windows and doors. Yeah!!!JJ, I’ve been reading of your travail with the sewer and your home. I’m so sorry this has happened, I hope they can fix it quickly and that you will begin to feel better soon.
Geoff, Yikes, you’ve been hobbling around with that boot and you didn’t need to be. I hope they can treat the cellulitis and get you back to feeling good again.
Mike too, best wishes for feeling better quickly.
to Doug, Annie, and all who are on their way.

June 6, 2018 at 6:18 am #635769Good day all,
A chilly morning but a lovely day is forecast.
((JJ)), I’m more concerned about your doctor’s need for all the c-scans.
I’ll be headed to an Apple store today to get Janet a new iMac. I’ve backed her present one up but she wants them to transfer everything to the new one. So, I have to return tomorrow to retrieve both computers. It’s only a 110 mile round trip.

June 6, 2018 at 6:54 am #635771Well WC server was down for a long time during night.
Grey could rain..called in market for bananas will return later as seeking some new roses for watering cans…have six cans and one rose, all the rest have withered and worn and rotted. Also to seek some slippers or lightweight shoes as the only thing that I can get my right foot into are a sandal.
Syl, boot may have caused problems but for the first 10 days it was the only thing that enabled me to walk as it cushioned the pain…..I couldn’t have driven anyway even I had wanted to.Went to see my own Doctors with samples and for bloods….the nurse said that my bloods were wrecked and why? So I gave her the whole story..and she said forget the appointment I had for later I should see the duty Doctor today….which I did and he did all the rechecks and said the hospital should have found the problem earlier…didn’t quite agree but didn’t say so. Anyway has given me a course on antibiotics and I have to return early next week.
The swelling on the leg is less red but still hurts…more than the foot!geoff

June 6, 2018 at 7:46 am #635761Good Morning!!
9C right now but warming up to 20C and sun. North wind prevails.
I have an appointment at the Kitchener Cancer Clinic for blood test and check-up with the Doctor who prescribed the estrogen blockers.
Since Jodi and Hans live in Kitchener, I am going there for coffee and later we all go out for dinner.
((((JJ))))))) I hope your health issues can be sorted out successfully also there may just be a blockage in the pipe that carries the sewage. Happened to my son’s family and what caused it was Dental Floss, Hair is also a culprit, the other Uschi had on last year caused by toilet paper. that it gets fixed quickly.
(((((Geoff)))))) Things are moving in the right direction, onward and upward:thumbsup:
(((((Linda))))) How are you doing?? I think of you every day.
Also :grouphug: and best wishes to Mike and Kay.
O.K. Over and out!! I hope we all have a really good day!!!

June 6, 2018 at 7:57 am #635778A good Wednesday to all….it’s nice this morning, but it’s gonna be a scorcher today with an Code Orange Air Quality Alert….a high pressure dome has moved in over our area, trapping the exhaust and ozone….
Actually did some work on the carport project yesterday anyway…and the movement actually helped to loosen up my back and muscles…that or the Aleve. Anyways, got the backside opened up on the screened space along with the kneewall and salvaged the siding to close up a section on the other side that. Scraped all the siding on that side as far up as I could reach. Will need to get the extension ladder out for the rest. Making progress, but I’m quickly getting to the point where I’ll need to clear the carport completely, which means pulling out the RV and getting all the surplus materials out that have accumulated along the sides and back throughout this renovation adventure. Then I can pressure wash the inside and the concrete floor and once it all dries, I can breakout the airless sprayer and get it painted inside. Still need to get the electricians out here to give me an estimate on the electrical. Step by step, it’s getting there……but, I’m not pushing myself. One, I can’t and two, it’s not like it’s imperative that it gets down quickly. I usually work till lunch and by then it’s out of the shade and the sun is beating down and I’m done.
Geoff…..I’m glad you got a confirmation on the cellulitis, if left unchecked that can lead to some not so wanted complications. Hang in there my friend.
JJ….this too shall pass……….no pun intended. I guess the thought of “passing” is not the best choice of words…..:o :o
Time to get moving…..my cool window outside is going to vanish quickly today. Be good, do good….it’s better than not being good….BBL

June 6, 2018 at 8:07 am #635764Good Morning! The start to our day is another cool and cloudy one. I’ve fed the kitty herd and brewed the coffee. I still need to get showered and dressed, but decided to peek in here first.
All the architectural pours are coming along beautifully. This Group is a lot of fun to teach because they don’t need finite directions and are a little more brave in trying new things. This morning’s Class will be fun also. They are a little more challenging, but that’s what learning is about anyway.
For myself, I began working on a jar of pickled peppers. I enjoy painting the minutia in compositions like this one. My body of work for my November solo is beginning to build up. I’m going to need to get these waxed, and that’s a big job.
This afternoon, we’re going to shop for a new screen door for the back of the house. Our existing door needs to be fixed or replaced. I want a newer, sturdier one but the cost of those doors is through the roof. We’ll see.
Doug, thank goodness this bout of sciatica didn’t last as long as past flare ups. for the good night.
Annie, why is it that sleeping in makes us feel worse than if we’d gotten out of bed at our normal time?
Oh my gosh, (((JJ)))… It’s worrying that your Dr. wants all those scans… and your plumbing issues aren’t helping you feel any better. BTW, our black water drain pipes are at least 3″ in diameter and flow directly into our septic tank.
Sylvia, I love the cool air for sleeping. One of my Students arrived yesterday in a jacket!
Bill, you certainly take care of Janet’s needs.
(((Geoff))), I do hope your course of antibiotics will eradicates the cellulitis. I’m sure that was a scary turn of events!!
Uschi, Ted and I often thought about buying a small house as a rental investment… but neither of us wanted to get that call in the middle of the night about plugged up plumbing! You’re right about all the stuff that can get caught up in those pipes.
Steve, it’s so amazing that it often takes an *event* such as flooding or renovation to force us into dealing with all the stuff we accumulate in around our homes.
Well, I have time for a second cup of coffee before I must head down to the Studio. I miss and worry about our absent friends and hope they’re lurking at the very least. Have a great day, everyone! :grouphug:

June 6, 2018 at 8:18 am #635768everyone,
It is sunny but a little cool (5). Still not cold enough for a jacket or sweater to go to the gym though. It will feel nice when I come back out of the gym. The high today will be 18.I’ve done the drawing for the commission and will start the first washes today if things go as planned. I only take one or two commissions a year when offered them. I have a separate art bank account and they pay for supplies the rest of the year.
I have to meet Max’s bus today and I have to get a few groceries as well. My day is filling fast. I better get moving.
I’ll wish you all health and a happy day.

June 6, 2018 at 9:34 am #635772Hi everyone! Horrible times lately, horrific pain everywhere, visits to emergency room, docs, etc. But baby birds seem to be hitting all the feeders with mom and pop. Soon I guess they will think their parents are so dim witted. Hope you are all painting like mad!

It’s another scorcher today well into the 80’s. Thank goodness for the fan.
Done the baking, a chocolate cake, strawberry buns, and applesauce. Done the weekly shop and put everything away. Didn’t get around to painting. I’ll have to water the garden next, though best left until the sun is going down.
It always amuses me when you say 5C is flip-flops and T-shirt weather Ellen

Doug, are those Mrs. McCarthy’s strawberry scones?
Char, I don’t think you share enough of your paintings with us. Good luck on finding a screen.

Char, you can’t go wrong with painting jars of pickle. Those jars are so fun to paint and always look great when finished.
I decided to not get dressed and do my housework in my dressing gown. I have never done this before but no point getting dressed and redressed an hour later. Anyway, downstairs bathroom cleaned (It was already clean but still:D) kitchen and living room cleaned. This is in anticipation of tomorrow’s scrabble group because I am hosting and I won’t have time tonight nor tomorrow morning.
Almost time to get dressed and get going.
to ALL!!
