    everyone,
I’m late getting in here because I’ve been in the yard with the Weedman getting the sprinkler system started up for the summer. He had to replace 4 of the heads to get it working well. I used the time to get rid of dandelions.

I have lots to do today. I need to get some junk to the street for pickup tomorrow. I also have to collect everything I need to teach a scarf dyeing workshop out of town this weekend. I need to cut the grass and I want to get Brian to go with me uptown after he gets home from work to buy this year’s annuals. Tomorrow I’m going to plant the perennials but tonight is going down to 1. After tomorrow I’ll cover them if frost is expected. I need to get them in the ground. Some lilies are blooming in the pots.

There are baby Robins chirping in the hedge and a huge flock of Canada Geese flew over this morning. Maybe spring is coming?

    A belated happy birthday Sharron.

JJ – Symbicort isn’t used as a rescue inhaler as far as I know. You still need Ventolin for that.

Darla – I’m so sorry to hear about Hog. :grouphug:

I’m off to start the next jobs on my list. Have a creative day.

A good Tuesday to all, overcast and grey here today, we’ve got scattered showers today so the temps are comfortable, but not much is going to get done outside today….to wet……and yet the yard crew hit the next door neighbor’s yard this morning 20 minutes after a down pour came through…..go figure.

Got some answers yesterday from Lisa’s appointment with her surgeon…her disk was so bad they had to as he said, “we really had to push everything (whatever that means) around and invariable there was some irritation of the nerves”. How that relays to the hip, I’m not 100% sure….the problem is the tricantor bursa that is inflamed and irritated (bursitis), they gave her a shot of cortisone in her hip and hopefully that will improve it with rest and ice packs. He referred her to our Ortho for follow up. Good news is that he cleared her to go back to work next Monday.

I’m sure this is the second Monday this week….Lisa get’s a tech alert this morning that our primary checking account is “low on funds”…..now, if there’s one thing Lisa is more OCD about everything else, it’s the finances. I think she used words this morning I’ve never heard of when she checked the bank account………..low funds wasn’t quite the descriptive phrase…..a payment of $5000.00 to Macey’s jumped out quite obviously…it should have been a $50 payment to clear the account. Back and forth between the bank and Macey’s with the associated “your call is important, we value our customers……” 15-20 minute wait time for both. Macey’s will take 5 business days to return the funds…..the bank is trying to find out how a $50 payment became a $5000 funds transfer….nobody is owning up. Lisa has the bank’s confirmation of a $50 payment. Meanwhile…..there’s a lot of “red” numbers right now showing on the screen and I swear lightening bolts are coming out of Lisa’s eyes………It’ll work out in 24-48 hours, as the $5k transaction will get kicked out, but that means the checking account is literally frozen for the next couple of days….not a big deal, cause that checking account is basically for the bills. We have another checking account that we use for every day transactions…..just a headache and another example of the frustrations that “electronic” banking and transactions can cause when “someone” miss keys something. Back in the paper days, the delays of processing would have stopped it in it’s tracks, but now it’s computers, 1’s and 0’s (data)….but it’s odd how transactions one way can be done in the time it takes to blink….but let a problem arise and it takes 4-5 business days to reverse anything………..Lisa is not having fun this morning.

Doug….I saw that tripod phone tablet holder too, looked interesting…let us know how it works out once it arrives.

Lulu…..I use that same “excuse” for “pop up” porn……   Reminds me of an episode 3 years before I retired…the design firm I was a project manger for was part of a design collaboration with a larger firm out of NYC and smack dab in the middle of an electronic presentation (from their end) to the clients in our office……..up pops a rather extended hard core porn movie…..talk about some scrambling to turn off the large screen projector on our end. Turned out their system had been hijacked for ransom.

Greetings to all…..hope ya’ll have a great day…..I get to bathe the dog today…..she went out and rolled in something in the backyard and it wasn’t Chanel Coco Perfum……:crying: :crying: :crying: BBL

    Be good, do good…

Hi Steve, I hope Lisa’s shot is effective. Ruth had a cortisone shot in her hip.

Steve, glad to hear Lisa’s back problem can be resolved. Scary when our accounts go haywire.

Lulu, how nice to see your DIL. Nice, too, that her children are old enough to take care of themselves giving her more freedom.

Doug, great portrait! Not sure about the white pen, though.

Char, with that mask on, she/he could be up to mischief.

Good morning. I was able to sleep in this morning. It sure felt good! I will be tagging along to John’s doctor appointment to return some rugs that I bought at Ikea. They made the size 1/3 of the original so that it looks like a postage stamp on the floor. The quantity and quality of fabric merchandise is dwindling in the stores.

Char, The iTunes program is being split into three different programs. They have already done this on the iPad and iPhones. No one will lose their music, and it is a lot easier to use now. I posted a photo of the cafe in yesterday’s wash for you to see.

JJ, Thanks JJ. I work better in 3D than in 2D art. I like it because it always look like the picture I have in my mind. Symbicort is what my GP gave me to clear up my lungs after my bad GERD attack. It works quickly. John is also on it for his asthma. He only takes allergy meds, and then uses various sprays.

Steve, It used to take a week for stores to give a refund to our bank accounts. I have notice that here, it is now as fast as taking a payment. I hope the shot gives Lisa some relief. Now here is my dumb question, can she go to work having so much pain in her hip?

Off to go get ready for our excursion to Frisco.

Real rain outside…neighbour was watering garden really early this morning, hopefully I won’t have to now!

Nancy, bought something on eBay this week and paid by Paypal…the price was wrong and the Paypal refund was in my account in 48 hours….very good.

Good morning all – just got back from my 3rd bike ride, and I am making progress slowly!

Nancy, I love your French cafe.

Getting my hair cut this afternoon – it’s way past due. Betty

                    Hi all-

The sun is out and the cats are having a lazy morning of it soaking up rays in the sun room. Such a life of ease!

Lulu, I enjoyed Camilla’s wink too – first time I’ve ever truly liked her. The question now is whether some person will be boorish enough to tweet something rude after he sees it on TV.

Uschi, yes, you need to get some kind of security software to check your computer system. It will run in the background and next thing you’ll know, your ISP will be cutting you off for excessive use and you won’t know why at first (been there!). Or worse on stealing data (but it is probably already mining your contacts).

Geoff, that’s interesting on the pill timing. What a blessing it would be to suddenly starting getting more sleep just by moving what time of day you are taking a pill!

Steve, interesting on the financial front. And I agree – if they can INSTANTANEOUSLY debit our accounts, there is absolutely no reason that process shouldn’t work just as fast in reverse. Always some corporation looking to make interest off OUR money (and their mistakes). I assume the first thing Lisa will do is to deactivate any direct payments to Macy’s? I’ve had a few subscription type things in the past where the company insists on automated payment and I’ve run all of those through Paypal because if you want to STOP a subscription, the fastest way to be sure you don’t get dinged any more is to deactivate them in Paypal…and Paypal does resolutions pretty darn quick like Geoff noted.

Is that actually a good thing or a bad thing that the doctor has released Lisa for work on Monday while she is still experiencing that kind of pain???

Nothing much exciting happening in my neck of the woods, although Lorrie (who runs the Monday night watercolor group) has managed to talk a whole bunch of other people into doing World Watercolor month in other classes at the local gallery. So we’ll all be sketching and painting our way through July together with a “show and tell” in early August.

                        :cat: HELLO EVERYONE:cat:

Taking a moment to say HI!

I’ve been trying to start in & get all those things done that I didn’t get to work on over the winter when I was so sick. My original plan was to have all the stuff done inside so that in the spring/summer I could work outside . Best laid plans of mice & men.

I had a baby shower to attend on Sunday afternoon. It was a very relaxing & fun. I started in on purging my clothes & things in my bathroom on Monday. Already had taken a load to donate so now the last one is ready to go.

I don’t know how this will work out but I have applied online to do Red Cross Volunteering. I did pass the background check. We shall see.

Darla—So sorry to hear about Hog. I know your son is heartbroken. Saw the pic of your other son in his racing outfit. Pretty cool.

Char—Sounds like Ted must be improving but may have a ways to go. Continued good thoughts your way.

Ellen—-Great pics of your sons wedding & the little ones are so cute.

Steve—-I hope Lisa feels better soon. Oh NO on the Macy’s account mess.

Nancy—-Your mini’s are just way to cool.

Hello to everyone else. Back to work

                            Morning…
Off out soon to a 90th birthday morning tea celebration.

Can only skim thru at moment, but yes, amazing surprise will linger long in our hearts and minds.
2nd eldest granddaughter got a ticket ‘home’ for her 17th birthday so we will see her in 2 weeks.
They are children of the world now, we still think of NZ as their home, but I doubt they do.

Steve, not sure about the porn comment? None here on our computer.

                            Better get coffee then showered.

Good Evening! It ended up being a decent day weather wise.

I cut the grass and tackled the front garden. It actually looks quite nice, being that they started so late the tulips are still blooming and last Fall I planted purple Allium bulbs and they are looking splendid too. The very blue, I think they are Bachelor Buttons are blooming too. Everything else is growing well, They love the rain:D

Steve, OMG your surgeons sure are in a hurry to get people out of hospital and back to work. Seems awfully soon to me. Re the hip issue I know several people who have had back surgery and the back is fine but some nerve in the hip gets quite aggravated. Anyway :grouphug: to Lisa and I hope it gets sorted out quickly.   about the red balance in Lisa’s account.

Anita, glad you checked in and are doing well. Would that Red Cross thing be a paying job or Volunteer??

re the porn site, all I saw was a hoard of topless females and managed to get out before it got to any porn. I have never had this before, never even when WC was having the trouble with it. I was looking at an official site looking into pro’s and con’s of Nicarette gum. I do have Malware (protection), am even paying for it and I am also paying for Avast, neither caught it during the episode or even after they scanned the whole computer.

Geoff, I hope it works or is working as I speak:)

Char, cheeky little devil. You always said you had no problem with wildlife, well, they are finding you now:)

It’s past nine and TV time. James Holzhauer finally lost at Jeopardy to a very clever young lady. Will be interesting to see how she carries on today, I have taped it.

                                See you inthe morning!!
