Good morning all, a reasonable night.

Warm dry weather is forecast for the next week, so more garden watering will be needed.

    Bowls this afternoon.

:grouphug: Char and Ted :grouphug: I hope you got a new room Char.

        Good evening.

I have been busy  in the garden.  Harvested a big bunch a sweet young kale for dinner tonight. I rang my sweet friend Carol and we spent well over an hour chatting and solving all the problems of the world.  She has an amazing gardens.  Every day something new is poking their nose through the ground. Cold weather gardening is so magical.  Made me miss my New Zealand gardens. :)   Still, I am so loving my tropical garden.  Soon, I will be planting for the heat.  I an thinking Kangaroo Paws plants this year.

I was sitting resting, talking to Carol, it was about 4 pm and this happened. :)

They are Doug, hence the name Rainbow Lorikeets.  I collect their feathers when they drop them, to draw them.

            Good evening all.

Joy, do not envy the paperwork. Yikes.

Beautiful line of storms this morning. Woke me up. Rain Patters on the roof worse than turkeys and banshee screams through the trees, worse than Roger screaming at turkeys. It was the wind. The wind.  Cats didn’t like the rain. Really ?  The wind kept up all morning, swirling around and around as  … if….it was swirling..

:bye: my poetic soul has crashed … lol

                Good day all,

I will need more sleep.  Going to be hot today in low 90’s with high humidity.  We may get some storms, in which case, Ms. Feral will not dance in the rain, Annie.

I’ll mow some lawn this morning and nap later.

                Doug, enjoy the bowls.

JJ, the birds do colour up your garden.  I had to quit feeding mine as the chipmonks were becoming too plentiful from the fallen seed.

Joy, I’ll send you my paperwork, I hate it.

Good morning Annie, Bill. Dull and not a breath of wind here and only 17C/63F.

Just watered the garden, though it is disappointing this year except for the red hot pokers which have over a dozen flowers.

                Good Morning all,

It is 6:15 a.m. in dark and sleepy Oakwood. Another blazingly hot day around us.

We are heading up to the Base this morning for a little shopping in the BX and Commissary. Then spending the rest of the day in doors with the AC on.

Managed to sleep until 6:00 a.m. two days in a row, hope it becomes a habit. :D

                to all,

                SYL,

                Sylvia

                Hi everyone,

Been away for a few days with friends. Nice to catch up with people we haven’t seen for a couple of years. Back home now to a very dry garden that needs plenty of watering. Surfeit of tomatoes – pity they all ripen at once! Scheduled visit to eye unit tomorrow – just as well because right eye giving me pain again. Probably more laser treatment needed I expect. Thank heaven for our National Health Service. Don’t fancy your 90degF and high humidity Bill. Would knock me out. Enjoy your bowls Doug. Good evening Annie and JJ.

I’m going out to water the plants.

Mike, good to hear from you.  Sorry your eye is giving you trouble.  I know what you mean about tomatoes, I picked a load yesterday.

Sylvia, I’d love to be able to sleep till 6:00.  Careful shopping.

Good morning Sylvia, Good morning Mike, good to see you pop in. I hope the treatment helps with the pain.

Just put pasta in the oven, will do us two meals.

Took the hard disc out of Ruth’s old laptop, put the hammer through it, and took the Bios battery out. It should be safe to dispose of now.

Good Morning, all, lovely to hear from Mike and Annie as well as Doug, JJ and Joy.

I did drag myself to church on Sunday and was really glad I did.  It was a really lovely service and we were able to sing, but had to keep our masks on.  That’s quite tricky, because breathing in sucks the mask in.  Better than silence though.  Managed to offer my condolences to a friend whose son-in-law recently died of cancer.  Another young man gone too soon.  He leaves his wife and three little girls behind.

Yesterday was Miss Adorable day and she was on top form.  We took her to the park and she loved it.  The sun came out and she played on all the equipment quite happily.  She is fearless!  Earlier we had played our ukuleles together.  She hasn’t learned any cords yet, but I’m teaching her to strum.

Today is the day my immune suppressed friend is visiting.  We’ll sit in the garden this afternoon and have a long chat.

Lulu, I hope your cough clears soon.  Mine lasted a very long time because I’m asthmatic.  I still need to work on my  breathing.  I notice they are working on a vaccine for RSV.

Char, I hope you (or your room mate) have found new accommodation.  Sleep is precious.

I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s news but I’ve no time to reply to all.  Doesn’t mean I’m not thinking of you.

I must away and make myself look presentable.

                        Hey Sylvia and Bill.
