Hey everyoneJJ….this too shall pass……….no pun intended. I guess the thought of “passing” is not the best choice of words…..:o :o
:lol::lol::lol:
Char our pipes are really big too, the communal waste ones. They are made of concrete.
Good news is there is someone coning this afternoon to “contain the leak” Tomorrow at 9.00am they will com and sanitise the whole area.
Ok the scans. I have had a recurring bacterial infection for the last 12 months. I changed Drs because old Dr was just filling me up with antibiotics and not investigating.
I have been offcolour for so long, haven’t done any greets since November, and only doing one sketchout a week. It is just not like me.
The Urologist says I have inflammation in my bladder, even after his course of 4 weeks heavy duty Antibiotics. He wants an ultrasound of my kidneys and Bladder, and a Cystoscopy done, to see if there are any underlying issues, cancer or whatever.
I think I am fine, and know this is all tied up with my immune disease. Ah well. We shall see I guess.
In the meantime, I have the nastiest of colds, and rattly chest. I am sitting here with lemon, honey and cinnamon drink, and I just washed down a couple of Garlic capsules. I am taking Echinacea, Cucurmin, Vit D and Magnesium.
Any other suggestions most welcome, I have not had a cold like this for years..
Oh the xray of my knee, shows no degeneration since the last scan about 10 years ago. I have bones spurs, but they too have been there for many years. The gelatine works for me Just got to sort the inflammation/fluid, and acupuncture is helping with that Yay!! Got back for another session on Monday.
So there you have it  I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your concern. I sure do love you guys! I am a tough old bird

Freezing, well not quite but really really cold, day today. Had to put socks on. Spent the day elbowing the cats out of MY spot, nearest the fireplace. Finally gave up and sat in the chilly naughty corner reading so that I wouldn’t glare at them.

June 7, 2018 at 3:59 am #636170‘Tis who you know Geoff….
Our worst experience ever was trying to leave Bangkok. Them insisting we needed to pay for a new ticket each and us insisting that we had a valid e-ticket. 2.5 hours later they agreed with us and let us get on the plane. Scary.
That is not a reflection on the people in general there though, just airport officiousness. I would hate to cross anyone in Sydney customs also lolJust visiting my sister in London (on Streetview). Hope they’ve got the kettle on lol

June 7, 2018 at 4:44 am #636194Hi everyone.
It seems to be tales of woe from all corners so I will not add mine this morning.
Best wishes to all who are “under the weather”. Pleased to hear your foot is much improved Geoff.
My morning was much improved by coming across Eric’s beautiful watercolour of Snoqualmie Falls on the Gallery. He’s a clever man. I was immediately transported there – all worries and aches and pains disappearing. Very therapeutic.
Must get up. Yet another blood test required. While I wait in Reception, I shall dream of Snoqualmie Falls and forget all else.
Be happy everyone!

June 7, 2018 at 4:48 am #636183Lulu,know what you mean but first time in Dubai at 2am,nobody to indicate where we should be and absence of indicator boards, spent an hour going up and down clueless,we were not the only ones! On way back we we sent from one end to the other, and you know how long that is! Only all of us were told that we should return to where we had come from!!!!
So we did and were asked why had we come back??Geoff

June 7, 2018 at 4:50 am #636172I am very happy, Mike! Just looking at my cousin’s beautiful garden (via my sister’s videos). Flowers blooming, rhubarb to pick, beans and other veges ready, pet rabbits, tortoises and cats! And a sunny day there. The wonders of instant communication. You don’t need planes to travel the world lol
Geoff, how very wearyng, especially at 2 in the morning.. Sorry to tell you that we are picked up as soon as we land and whisked through in 15 minutes lol It won’t be like that in Rome lol
Ps Geoff, the All Black team has been named today to play France at the weekend. 3 Barrett brothers in the team and 2 other brothers too.
Not sure that the ABs will do so well this year, lots of changes. Time will tell.Lulu

Geoff, glad the leg is feeling better.
Mike, yes, the painting is superb. A lovely touch.
Hope your blood work gives a positive reading.I’ll never visit Dubai or Bangkok. Would like to though.

June 7, 2018 at 7:08 am #636180everyone,
Another grey day with rain and cool temps expected. The plans today include the gym, voting, meeting Max’s bus, and the opening of our art club’s show at our museum. I also want to start on the commission that I didn’t get to yesterday. A few household chores like vacuuming need to be done as well so my day is full.
I was proud of myself yesterday. I fixed a dent in the car’s fibreglass bumper. I had backed into a corner of a step I didn’t see and it had made about a 1/4” depression in the bumper that was about 1” wide and 3” long. I used a trick I saw on the Internet (YouTube) a year ago and have been using around the house ever since. There is a chemical reaction when you mix Superglue and baking soda that instantly turns it hard as plastic and you can sand it. They use it to fix chips in fibercarbon helicopter blades. I dripped the glue into the depression then patted on the baking soda. Instantly hard! I built up layers of this then filed it smooth and even. I just have to buy some touch up paint and you won’t see it. :smug: Look up all the uses for this on YouTube including metal repairs.
I want to get an early start to the day so I’ll wish you all the best day possible and go have my breakfast.

June 7, 2018 at 7:42 am #636175Good Morning!!!
Back to normal temperature, a high of 24C and sun/cloud mixture.
Everything, including blood results at yesterday’s visit at the Cancer Clinic were perfect except calcium was high, YES, I know that, that is why I am having the parathyroid surgery on Tuesday:)
Followed by a delightful afternoon with Jodi, Hans and his daughter and dinner at Angel’s.
This morning I am off to the hospital to see the anesthesiologist for said surgery and
It’s Thursday, Cake and Scrabble day and I am hosting. I didn’t have time to bake anything so bought frozen Cinnamon Swirls that take 5 minutes in the oven and I will serve them hot.
:grouphug: JJ, not having an answer for one’s ails is very frustrating. I hope you can find out quickly what it is so something can be done about it:crossfingers: I am glad you found a doctor who is willing to investigate. After 40 years with my doctor I changed too, It was easy for him, I was never sick and it truly felt as if the money for every test came out of his own pocket. As my friends here tell me, if I were still with him I’d be dead by now:D
I have to get dressed, appointment is early. to ALL!!!
