everyone,
We had to bring the truck in for service this morning because all the dash lights were on. Hopefully it is just a reset. I made up the room for my sister who’s coming tomorrow, did our running around, had breakfast, did some online work, and now Brian is out for coffee with a friend and I have work to do inside and out. I’m just heading out to do the fertilizing that I didn’t get to yesterday.
When we were running errands yesterday we ran into my doctor who immediately asked why I was walking with a cane. I quickly explained but told him I have an appointment to see him on the 4th. He said he’ll start writing up the paperwork for an MRI to get started. LOL

My Youtube videosJune 29, 2023 at 9:00 am #1518128Uschi, I love it! The miniature showcase was this last weekend, and I could not go since I am a caretaker right now. I just think of all the money I actually saved!
Ellen, The stars are aligned! Lucky that you ran into your doctor!

Just was in laughing tears at this, you Brits have probably seen it already, young man at the grocery refuses to buy a 15p plastic bag At least my delivery service gives me the cloth-like recycled ones for free, although the local store makes you buy them. Now I have to dispose of them, not sure we are any further ahead, but at least they are more reusable and recyclable I hope.
I hope you enjoyed it, Peter, nice that Yvonne is interested
JJ, that looks so delicious!! I will have to try. I do have some Birds custard as a start. On the farm my mum used to make something called Aunt Margaret’s pudding, cake top over corn syrup baked together, I loved it. Probably my teeth didn’t!
Something to look forward to, then Doug.
A good sized class, Sylvia.
Yes, you were lucky, Uschi, it wasn’t nice here. I did go out, though, but it wasn’t anything as bad as Toronto. I wore a mask and didn’t go far. Happy scrabble!
Thinking of you, Char, am wearing the shirt you made for the 2007 meet
Hi Nancy, QS, Ellen, Bill and all to come!
Cheers, Lynn

I finally changed the wording of the first line and it accepted. Probably my service had one of its slow moments and I tried to edit too quickly. I won’t edit today for those two typos!

The site is slow and full of bugs, the notifications sometimes don’t come through. Often the thread list says there’s a page 2 and yet it is blank. etc.

We must leave our mark on this worldJune 29, 2023 at 11:00 am #1518141Oh my word! I was wondering why nobody mentioned my post from yesterday. I managed to post it at the end of Tuesday’s wash. Is there something in the air besides particulate that is fogging the brain? Swam this morning but now the AQI is over 100 and heading higher. I can’t even turn on the AC because it sucks in air from the outside.

Yesterday’s missive:
“She’s alive! Yes, QS and Uschi, I am here.
Didn’t feel so well over the weekend. Tummy upset Saturday and headache Sunday. Also muscle cramps. I think it must have been the humidity. Slight headaches Monday and Tuesday morning. We had these weird weather days. Sunday and Monday these thunder storms would barrel in like a freight train or an 18 wheeler with no brakes then leave. Woke up to bright sunshine, then dark as the inside of a cow as Char would say (Hi Char ), then bright sun. I went around turning off lights and turning on fans then reversed the process. It was nuts. And the humidity!
The good news: Lap swimming began yesterday! ”Heaven. I’m in heaven. And the cares that hung around me all the week seem to vanish like a gambler’s lucky streak . . . ”
I’m so sorry that lots of you are dealing with the wildfire smoke. Do take care and wear masks because that particulate matter is so small it can do a lot of lung damage.
JJ what a lovely surprise to meet up with your friend.
Anita what a great gift from Justin. Unfortunate that the smoke is affecting his training. It messed up a whole lot of plane schedules here.
Nancy have fun with your builds. that John is doing so well.
Ellen what a night you had. Those things going off in broad daylight scare the heck out of me.
Doug enjoy your outing.
Yea Lynn! Glad you had fun dancing. Hope the DNA results are interesting.
Annie I’m glad Roger is doing well. Laughed my head off about defenestration. I was thinking the same thing, but you say it so much better than I can.
Right. I’ve forgotten the rest.
I am resting today. Did get my air conditioner in the window and am now icing my back.

June 29, 2023 at 2:52 pm #1518162Yes, Doug, I’ve had that happen too, you look for the second page and it’s not there. Last time I refreshed the page a couple of times and there it was.
Good that you are OK Kay and yea for the swimming! They are repairing our pool (it is a salt water one), just when I got a new bathing suit. Perhaps I’ll have to get Darts to take me up to the next town where they have a warm pool, it is good for exercises and then I used to do a few laps in the regular pool.
Have a good evening/night all!
Glad you liked it Bill, I’m still chuckling. I’ll bet he is a comedian, looking for some publicity, it worked for me!!
Cheers, Lynn
