We must leave our mark on this worldAugust 22, 2024 at 7:58 am #1559197So sorry Joy.
Glad to hear Alan is doing well, JJ.
Doug the more boring a programme is, the easier it is for me to fall asleep. Good luck with a different pill.
So QS how did the kids find the hidden mushrooms!
We had a visit from the elk the other night – didn’t see them but they left lots of evidence. They were eating our gravenstein apples that were hanging over the fence. The tree is really loaded this year.
Steve, hope you had a good trip to Texas. Betty
August 22, 2024 at 8:16 am #1559198HELLO EVERYONE
WOW another great night of speakers at the DNC!!!! Such great messages & holding Trump feet to the fire. We’ve got 75 days left & we have to help in whatever way we can to save our country!!!!! I’m doing some volunteering at local office.
Today I’m meeting at Senior Center for Art Group. It’s gonna just be 2 of us but that’s OK.
We’re having chilly mornings but will be back in the 90’s next week.
Doug—Yeah you have to start getting sleep somehow. Not getting sleep is going to bring a whole host of decline. Maybe a nightcap will rest your mind or maybe you are wrestling with a big decision that needs to be made. At any rate I wish you the best. It seems life gets more complicated as you get older instead of getting simpler.
JJ—Get all the rest you can. Alan will have a long road ahead to recovery. My Dad had open heart surgery at age 80. Sure they fixed his heart but the toll on his body from the surgery almost did him in. He was so weak & no appetite & I knew he had to get nutrition to gain the physical strength to heal. We started him on a med to stimulate his appetite & he came back. This surgery is no joke as you know & I know you’ve got the nutrition down pat but the caregiving takes it’s toll so take care of you. Another 6 or 8 weeks down the road will be a big difference. You’ve got my prayers!!!!
Joy—OH NO —I am so so sorry. I know your heart is broken. You gave him a loving home. Big hugs for you.
QS—Such good adventures with your grands. Can you just imagine them all as teens!!!!
Uschi—I say on the days I get the dilation & eye shots that I lose a whole day. I’m so glad that I only have to do it every 8 weeks.
Bill —No rain expected here all next week but temps in 90’s. Signs of Fall will start showing up.
Well time to get myself together for the day. Everyone have a good day.

Let go of past mistakes and hurts. Forgive and empower yourself. Live the life you were meant to live. And, be at peace with yourself.

Anita, my shots are doing the trick and have built up from two weeks to now 11 weeks no shots. Enjoy your visit with the other artists!!!

August 22, 2024 at 3:32 pm #1559225Cleaning lady is super, so happy I was able to get her. Had a good visit with a friend, too, which always helps the spirit.
Hugs, Joy❤️
Yes, JJ, take it easy.
That’s a shame, Doug. I found that talking books send me right off.
I hope they can’t get inside the fence, Betty.
Hi Ellen, Bill, Lulu, QS, Anita and to all I missed!
Cheers, Lynn
