Well, the church was full. Keith was a fervent methodist and had a wide circle of friends.  He was also a keen off-road biker, and several of his motorbike friends turned up on bikes and in leathers.  The eulogy by his youngest son was amusing and brought back many memories of Keith.  After the service the congregation proceeded to the nearby graveyard, stopping traffic in the town. The reception was in the church hall and we met several old friends there. If a funeral could be enjoyed, this one was.

We are 7.5 hours into our new day here and it has started well. An early morning bike ride, coffee and a paper read (or skim), shower and out the door to the U3a meeting. The guest is one of our retired Olympians, so should be motivational.

QS, happy birthday to your MS.  Am glad to hear that Ireland is well visited by the English.  I remember saying to another tourist “I can die happy now that I’ve been to Ieland” and they said No! You need to go to Scotland first!! That was so true and the people were even friendlier than the Irish.

Better move and get on with the day.

Uschi, yes, we meet at the Village, so I get a glimpse of how things are going there.

Good to hear something about Gail, Sharon, thanks.  I hope your construction goes smoothly.

Hope you are doing OK Nancy.  I just read a mystery that you might enjoy.  It was set in a huge mansion that is a doll house museum, and kept my attention all the way through.  It is part of a 8 volume collection available on Kindle Unlimited for free, by Jean M Dams, the Dorothy Martin Murder Mysteries.

            Cheers, Lynn

Lulu, Leland is a lovely fishing town in Michigan. :-) You should have let me know you were here.

I’ve not been to Scotland but I’m sure the people are very friendly, blue painted faces and all.

Lynn, I see the village, I think, on Murdoch Mysteries.

                Back outside now.

  Would be fun if we had a one day predictive text Wash without correction. Lol

Scotland landscape is like a miniature South Island of NZ.

And if Ireland beat the All Blacks in the quarter final of the RWC on Sunday morning I will quickly fall out of love with their country too haha
