It looks like what the scammer does is get someone to accept a video call on messenger that looks like it is from a friend and record a bit of the conversation. Then they uses the bit of video from that person and get control of their friend’s contact information on messenger to make it look like the call is from the friend. After a few seconds the video freezes and the voice becomes muffled and asks for money because they are in some kind of trouble.

Ellen, good that you figured out how Lynn’s message happened. They obviously didn’t know that she had passed. Well, we now know not to trust Messanger.

Bill, I am so glad that Janet likes the hospital and even better that her BP is good. I truly hope she does well with the physio.

I just checked my calendar, no birthdays but I have an appointment to have a blood test to make sure my parathyroid is still behaving itself.

Good morning again.  I am awake now.

There was no message, and I never even heard my phone ring.  Thanks Ellen for looking it up.  I deleted it from my phone.  John and I were wondering if one of her relatives tried to call us to let us know that Lynn had passed.  I am going with Ellen’s summary which makes more sense.

Bill, It is neck and neck here in Texas.  Every time he who shall not be named opens his mouth, more people switch.  Collin Allred attended John’s middle school, and his mother was a fellow teacher.  He won his House Seat in a very Republican District twice.  Fingers crossed.

Doug, Finally you are getting an MRI.  My goodness, that would have been the first step here in our area.  They will figure out exactly what has been broken.

Today, I have a dental appointment.  I am not looking forward to that at all.  Never have liked going to the dentist.  But I am a year late in getting my annual checkup.  I could not go when I was getting Chemo.

I don’t seem to have had a call from Lynn’s account.  I did, though, get a Fb friend request recently from a friend who died in May.  Some horrible people about.

I spend a lovely morning with my surrogate daughter.  We shared a cream tea in the morning because she has 3 little boys to pick up from school in the afternoon.  Her birthday is on Wednesday, but I’m busy that day and her husband is taking the day off work to spend it with her anyway.

After dinner we are off to visit our grandsons and babysit while their parents go out.  I have lots on this week so I may be posting at odd times.

Good to hear that both Alan and Janet are improving, apart from low BP for Janet.

Lovely to see another Hopper painting, Sylvia.  I feel I could walk right into that scene.

The calls come through Facebook Messenger to ones cell phone yes Uschi.  If one doesn’t have FB or a cell phone, then no, they wont get the message.
