We legally are not a bilingual country but with so many Spanish speaking people, the language is shared along with English in most places.  I believe it makes for a richer culture.  While shopping at Costco last week, I couldn’t tell you how many different languages I heard.  I love it, as I feel part of a larger world.

Uschi, find a chiropractor that has a decompression table.  It will stretch your spine and provide some relief.  Have you been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease?  A good physical therapy place will have one too.

By law our whole country is officially bilingual, English/French.

Bill, my chiropractor does physical manipulation (his hands) and he uses traction, a table where I lay face down while he pulls my legs to a certain point and leaves me there for about 5 minutes. Between the two therapies he is doing wonders

Over and out, time to go.

            Hi All,

Just finished putting a coat of paint on a small table we bought at a yard sale. It works great in the bathroom under the sink to hold my hair dryer. The original paint kept flaking off (this looks to be 30 or 40 years old), so Larry scrubbed off all the loose paint and I’ve put two coats of enamel paint on it. Should last another 20 or 30 years. :-)

Uschi, I hear you about the weed pulling I just checked on Amazon under the title “long handled weed puller” — there are many different versions of this tool, it might be something you could use to save your back from so much aggravation. :good:

Lovely photos in the Wash again today. Thanks.

Can’t remember everything I read on page one, so hope all are doing OK.

            Cheers,

            Sylvia

            :bye: everyone,

I’ve been busy already this morning. My sister and I have so far cleaned up all the pruning and put them in bags, got stuff to the curb for spring cleanup on Wednesday, planted gladiolas, and found the pump for the big pond. After lunch, if we have enough energy, we are going to clean out the big pond. Later this afternoon we are going to my DIL’s grandmother’s place to pack my sister’s truck with as many garbage bags full of clothes as possible. There is no second hand store left in town so my sister will bring them to where she lives that has a large one. If she didn’t they would be thrown in the dump. I think that will be as much energy as we will have today.

Tomorrow will be dry so I will try and get the lawn dethatched in time for the garden waste pick up on Wednesday. There is always so much to do in the spring.

The Sparrows we’re pulling up dead grass around the pond yesterday to build nests in my hedge again. That’s why the pond has to be done early in the spring, so the commotion doesn’t disturb them while incubating their eggs.

On our chat yesterday we were commenting that there had only been 2 or 3 each time lately. We were wondering how everyone felt about pausing the chats for the summer when everyone will be busy and starting them again in the fall.

Lunch is next. Enjoy your day everyone.
