Good morning all, a dry dull morning here, around 18C.

    I sleep reasonably well again.

We are off at 9,15 to Southport Hospital for my bone scan. I would love to see where the damage is.

    Good Morning all,

It is 5:00 a.m. here in still dark Oakwood.

We’re off to the Base hospital this afternoon for the last Euflexia shot in my knee. It is definitely helping, but I still have to be careful walking anywhere and take the stairs one at a time. But it is much better than it was a week or two ago.

Hope the bone scan goes well, Doug, and they will show you how it looks now.

Good morning Sylvia, back from the hospital, it all went smoothly. I’ll get the results in a fortnight from the doctor.

Good to hear that your knee is easier, I hope the third shot does the trick.

        Good day all,

Doug, glad you your scan went well.  Whatever it looks like I’m sure it will heal in time.

Sylvia, glad to hear you are walking a little better.  I’m sure that after your shot today things will improve immensely.

One last hot one for a while but I’m sure there will be more.  Relatives in Florida are in the midst of hurricane Debby.  Lots of flooding, I hear.

JJ, hope you are feeling better today.

Sleep has eluded me this last evening but for two hours, so I must try for a little more.  Then I have some paperwork to sort.  Maybe start a drawing I’ve been thinking about.

            Good Morning!!!

This will be the last of the hot and humid days, for a while anyway. 27C with high humidity 34C.
We will be in shock and be freezing when this heat wave leaves us.

I watered the garden yesterday evening and oh my God the mosquitos are aggressive. I think there is a good chance of rain tomorrow so it won’t need to be done for a while.

Today is a civic Holiday here in Canada, stores are closed and I am off to Kitchener to visit with Jodi and Hans this afternoon. It will be nice, I haven’t seen them for a while.

Doug, glad all went well with the scan, hope it shows that all is healing nicely. Southport, that is where the riots started.

Sylvia, I hope the third shot does the trick and lets you walk pain free again.

Bill, enjoy your day. Drawing would be nice and relaxing.

Good morning Doug, Sylvia and Bill and all to come.

Very dull and overcast here today.  I managed a better night’s sleep and feel a bit more comfortable today.   A neighbour has gone shopping for me.

Hope the results of the bone scan are good, Doug.

Glad you are waking better Sylvia.   Todays shot will hopefully improve things even further.

I trust you can get a bit more sleep, Bill.  Hope your relatives are okay and not troubled too much by the hurricane and flooding.

                Hav a good day everyone.

Sounds like lots of us are improving, little by little.  I am having a facial this afternoon.  I’ve been meaning to have one for ages.  Likewise a regular massage or reflexology session.  My masseuse is a lovely girl, and I should book appointments one after the other, otherwise I forget. I decided I’d have one a month but I’ve lost count of how long ago that was.

Enjoy you ur visit with Jodi and Hans, Uschi.

                            Greetings to All.

                            :bye: everyone

Cooler weather (our normal for August) is finally here. It went down to 7 last night and the highs for the predictable future are low to mid 20s. Perfect. Bright sun and blue skies out there.

I have to fertilize the garden today and I’m finally able to cook a normal supper tonight. Not sure what else will come along.

Wishes for a speedy healing for all our wash friends who are sick or injured.

My stomach is growling so breakfast is next. Have the best day possible.

                                MORNING  EVERYONE

A hot day ahead with no rain. Last evening I was watering the flowers & we had a few sprinkles & I mean a few. At first I thought our hose had a leak as I was feeling drops on my head. It amounted to nothing.

We didn’t do anything much at all yesterday. I puttered in the craft room & Keith watched a Netflix movie.

Grocery shopping for  me today. I’m going to run into Dollar Tree before the grocery & see if there are any new art stamps.

Doug—Yeah for a good nights sleep.

                                Joy—Just take it easy.

                                JJ—Hope you are feeling better.

Sylvia—Fingers crossed for the knee shot.

                                Uschi—Enjoy your visit.

Well on Tuesday we will know who the VP has chosen for her running mate.

                                Good morning,

Weather is still hot and will be until after Labor Day.  Plenty to do around the house to keep busy.

Last night, I had the best night’s sleep and woke with no back pain.  I tested the larger recliner, and it was a miracle.  Now it will move into our bedroom.  So, I can get back to sleeping in the bedroom with the room darkening shades.

Doug, Glad that your scan went well.

Sylvia, Hope the third shot does the trick allowing you to walk without pain.

Bill, Hope you got a few more hours of sleep.  I tend to get less when I am worried about something.

Time to turn off the news again–economic woes due to keeping interest rates too high, Middle East vs. Israel exchanging threats, and riots in Britain.

                                Have a great day everyone,

A good Monday to all……another day in the low 90’s but Debby moving up into the Florida panhandle has sucked all the humidity out and with a slight breeze it’s not bad at all….not something you want to run a marathon in, but I don’t do marathons so I’m safe.

Watching the Canada vs. USA Woman’s Beach Volleyball match…..not looking good for the Americans….we’ll see.  Could be a straight 2 set victory for Canada…..and it’s done. Canada wins the match.  Good job ladies.

Need to trim some Crepe Myrtle branches and then I think I’ll pressure wash the back driveway today……it’s warm, but it’s always a cool mist when running the pressure washer.

Nancy….you’re right, I can’t stand to watch the news either……..so much human stupidity.

Doug…..I hope they can give you some pinpointed information as to what the problem is and what can be done to at least alleviate the pain or correct it.  Unfortunately, at this stage in life the corrective measure are or can be just as bad as the problem.  I know my Ortho is pushing for both knee replacements as the meniscus in both of them is nearly non existent leaving it bone on bone.  The right one is the worst and it tends to produce an uneven gait which stresses my right foot and hip.  I’m supposed to wear a brace on both of them but in this heat it’s so uncomfortable.  Both braces have hinged metal splines on each side of the knee joint and the rest of the sleeve is “breathable” neoprene.  Sounds good in the literature, but it doesn’t breathe and within minutes I can feel sweat running down my leg.  She said the uneven gait leads to the “missteps” that torque my foot or hip and that the only solution really is replace the knee and if you’re doing one might as well do both……….at this age it isn’t going to happen.  Six major surgeries is enough.  Any more surgeries are going to have to be “life saving” issues.

Time to get moving…….Greetings to all here and those coming.  Extending healing and comforting energies to all.

                                Steve.
