Thanks Kate and Bill!
FYI there is a great page on Facebook if you haven’t already seen it, Gouache Sketchers. Well worth having a look. Many are really finished paintings, but lots of good sketches there too.
Cheers, Lynn

"Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, There is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in" Leonard CohenMarch 15, 2020 at 3:19 pm #960382My latest from the list — things from my pantry. Painted on my 6×4 Strathmore sketchbook with miscellaneous paints, and sketched with my Lictin pens. The orange thing is a salt pig. Does anyone have these any more?!

We must leave our mark on this worldMarch 15, 2020 at 3:39 pm #960356Good one, Kate. I’ve never heard of a salt pig but am sure that I need one! Here is another one from my pantry…Clabber Girl. About 4″ x 6″…wc, a little pen & a little gouache…on sketchbook that is really meant for drawing not painting but just moved & this is all I could find.

March 15, 2020 at 3:43 pm #960357You guys! These sketches are all so great…I just love looking at them. So spontaneous and fun! I mean yours, not mine…

March 15, 2020 at 3:53 pm #960293WOW, as I said above, you guys are good!!!!! I have a lot to learn, which is great!!!!
I am cheating, because I am taking a sketching course and am struggling like crazy trying to learn how to do rooms in the proper perspective. So until I get down to sketching the very pretty bowl I’ll show you the last quick one from the course, not from the pantry but from the fridge:D

This is another small one on my 4″ x 6″ drawing pad.
From my pantry. Drawing small keeps me from drawing in too much detail. I look for shapes. Some reflections did not show up. Oh well. BillBe kinder than necessary
March 15, 2020 at 4:12 pm #960358Great work, Uschi & Bill. I agree about sketching keeping you from adding too much detail…that’s one of the things I enjoy most about it.

March 15, 2020 at 4:15 pm #960429Thanks Kate, for posting a picture that didn’t feel too overwhelming for this newbie. Good exercise for me to draw instead of trace. And was great to keep me off Twitter and news feeds for a while!

March 15, 2020 at 5:10 pm #960383I’m just loving seeing all these wonderful sketches – so fresh and spontaneous! Love yours Uschi — great colors. And so glad the image was comfortable for you Lavendulan — well done. I can just see the reflections Bill. And the corn starch brand is new to me Maribeth but I really like the relaxed look of your sketch and colors. And if you want a salt pig Maribeth, Amazon has one for you!
