Nice one Minerva — good to see you here!
Here’s my contribution for the final day of week #1 — I’m so getting tired of my pantry. Perspective is definitely off on this one, sketched directly with my .02 Lictin pen on my Strathmore 140# sketchbook paper. I’d over-worked it — remember that I need someone next to me saying “Put down the brush” — so I just washed off the extra paint and here it is, warts and all!

March 20, 2020 at 4:42 pm #960348No warts Love the collection of things Kate!
Here’s what I was hoping to do, never looks like one planned though. High bush cranberry I think, at least a viburnum of some sort with old dried berries and some lovely (in person!) parchment like petals around the edges.
Cheers, Lynn

Your sketch is very delicate and the blossoms are so sweet. Interestingly, in spite of living in the US for 42 years, my knowledge of plants is very Kiwicentric so I have no idea whether your blossoms are cranberry or viburnum!

March 21, 2020 at 4:00 pm #960404I really like this one Bill, particularly how you’ve used the pen to indicate shading and contours. The is much for me to learn from your style.

March 21, 2020 at 5:34 pm #960405Oh Maribeth, these are wonderful. Your palette is stunning (no really — I’d frame it!) and your kitchen utensils are arranged and sketched beautifully.
