"If it were me......." My HusbandMay 16, 2013 at 10:40 am #1187628I did a workshop with Colley, a thoroughly good bloke, very helpful. I’m
somewhat gobsmacked that he can do paintings like the above in no more
than 20 mins … max 30 … Very quick painter. Must do another workshop
with him this year. Certainly a very painterly painter.May 16, 2013 at 11:20 am #1187627Beautiful work!! Thanks for sharing this painter with us.

May 16, 2013 at 12:10 pm #1187634Glad everyone enjoyed it. Someone on here pointed out my lack of light in my paintings at one time and this is a great example of what my paintings were lacking…very revealing to me as a relatively new painter. This work, in my opinion, is a very good example of waiting for the right light so that a person can work both in the shadow and light families to get a nice painting in the end.

May 17, 2013 at 5:51 am #1187629I’ve never heard of this bloke but the first one is immediately recognisable to me as the New Farm end of the Storey Bridge in Brisbane. He really nails the bright Queensland sunshine that’s for sure.
Cheers
