Carl, Good work with the loose handling and color selections. I like the way you slightly changed the point of view and enhanced the diagonal thrust of the composition.  Nicely done.

I post my Highland Cow again since I worked some more on it like flowers on the ground .. still thinking if they should be more visible or leave it as it is?

Well, flowers are a good addition and I’d leave as is.  You don’t want them getting all the attention and not the cow…Looks nice and summery.

I think I painted them with lead white b/c that’s what I happened to have on the palette and was too lazy to open titanium white tube so the flowers don’t show as white as titanium white would. I used your first reference photo idea to the flowers.

I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity of hosting the February Challenge, I really enjoyed it and it was so nice to see the paintings done from some of the photos of the Highlands of Scotland. Thank you so much again for those who took part.
