I was not brave enough to actually do the November challenge… but I’d got in the groove and I am happy with the result! This is a fairly limited palette, three colors plus black and white (but obviously not using the palette knife!)

        Very imposing, looks like Colditz.

Really nice Lisa! Ok, not for the challenge (no knife!) but not brave enough?! Jeepers girl, put your specs on, this is super!?

        Cheers, Maureen

This is stunning! Thanks for sharing it. Looks brooding and ominous.

        Beautifully done!

The perspective is great, really gives the looming effect. Love that foliage too.

Coming back to this again. I really like the subtle variation of value in the sky and the walls.

Thank you Richard, David, and Derek (Derek you’re one of my idols!)

With low-chroma pretty much what you have is value… something satisfying about it.

I like this.  Did you make up the building or is it an actual place?  Nice work, the somber tones and values work really well for the subject to create an imposing image.

Thanks David! I am not so skillful I can make things up :-(   This is based on a photo of Schattenburg castle in Austria, from pixabay… without the sunshine and most of the color.
