My HP printer used to be able to pull watercolor paper through it so I could make good copies of my art. It doesn’t work anymore and I’m looking for a replacement printer that will be able to handle regular 140 lb paper. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use Bockingford Inkjet paper in my Canon inkjet.

Prior post did not go through with the error I mentioned.

Second try: I will order the Bockingford you suggested. I am looking for choices of watercolor paper that will go through my Canon Pixma Pro-100 which will take up to 350gsm and .6mm, 13″ x 19″.

My aim is to print with high transparency to get an outline, and then paint on it with watercolor paint (slight color  with lots of water). Any experience with any of that? TIA.

Hope I don’t get that error. what did I do wrong? I was sure I wanted to send it

Update 6/15/2022:  I bought the Epson ET-8550 and can report that it handles 300# cold press watercolor paper (1.2mm thick) without problems.

I’ve done a number of house portraits that way using 9″ X 12″, 300 gsm/140lb, watercolor paper, usually from a block or pad, but sometimes cut from a full sheet. When that larger format printer finally died I stopped because the smaller sheets handled by “standard” desktop printers doesn’t provide enough detail for me.

Canon’s website claims that printer can successfully feed up to 53#/200 gsm specialty paper, but 90#/210 gsm paper should fee with no problem.

My go to printer for decades was Epson because Epson invented inkjet printing and licenses the technology to all the printer manufacturers.  My last two were larger format and handled 140#/300gsm wc papers without problems.
