A walk in the fresh air helped a lot.The willows in the wash (what a great title for an as yet unpainted painting):
This is a branch from a bush in the Legume family, known as a cat’s claw, and it’s claws are very sharp! However, the fragrance is just heavenly! If you have ever burned a Citrus-Sage Yankee candle, that is almost exactly what it smells like.

Becca, glad you enjoyed both events, they sounded like a lot of fun.
I painted nearly all day yesterday and really made progress on the latest painting. Went out to check on candles late afternoon, and the new cooler pump I installed last week was not working. So as soon as I post this, I am going out there to do a thorough cleaning of the unit, stick the pump in a bucket of clean water and hope it still works. If not, I will have to return it. Not how I planned my day to be, but it needs to be fixed.
Wish I oculd wait for bf to get out of bed and help, but by then it will be too hot. :/

I am close to painting, had an interruption in my day.
There was a low pressure warning when I went to get my mail this morning, and sure enough, there was a nail sticking out of my tire. I took it in and alas, it was too close to the sidewall to patch, so I had to order a new tire. Ouch. The car only has 8800 miles on it. I also found out that if there were 15,000 miles on the tires, I would have had to replace all 4, because it is all wheel drive.
When I got home, I did a quick little job. And I talked to the Red VW client yesterday. He doesn’t know when he can take possession of the painting, but will pay me the other half right away via paypal, which will cover the tire with a little left over. C’est la vie. :rolleyes:

But the tomb of the unknown artist is nowhere to be found."It looks like I will not be able to eat at the restaurant where my classmates eat every month. I took my husband along with me this time, and the food sent me into a shock yet again. I try to avoid salt, and still end up trying to catch my breath, since the last time I fell, my friends took me to the hospital. I love the people who run the restaurant, so I’m thinking of asking them to get the cook to come up with much smaller portions or an entirely different, salt-free dish just for me. (They love me, too!)
When I go see the heart doctor next Friday, I’ll ask him for suggested menus, and, look some up myself.
I haven’t been painting, so I really need to get back to it, since painting always makes me feel better. I have an old photo I took of my two kids that I love, and I’m thinking of using it to paint them.
