I’m sorry to hear about your hand. I have carpal tunnel. I have to be careful about what materials I use as a result. I took a one day stone sculpture workshop and LOVED it – it was so cool to see shapes emerge from the stone, and I love the colors and look of alabaster (what I was carving). The sanding killed my hand, so my piece has nevwe been finished. Take good care of your hand!! Hand surgery doesn’t always work. My hubby injured his hand and had 2 surgeries to repair it and both failed, so his ring finger and pinky just don’t work, and if he tries to hold coins in that hand, they roll out. Thankfully, it’s not his dominant hand. Be careful!!
My hands not too bad over time it’s traveled up my arm and most of the pain comes from my inner elbow joint now.
I’ll probably end up changing mediums again. Ouch! Sorry to hear that!! Take care of yourself – listen to your body. Replacement parts just aren’t the same as originals!
