15×22 watercolor on Fabriano rough 140 lb cold press paper done last week using a combo of photos plus imagination.  I added purple sage, hollyhocks, and yucca plants to the imaginary adobe abode painting wet into wet with a 1″ flat sable synthetic brush.

I love this.  It has the elements from New Mexico that I love.  Thanks for all the good memories.  :-)   Makes me homesick in a good way.

Kay, this may be my new personal favorite of your paintings – as you know, I’ve had many I’ve said that about – but this is just wonderful!  That fearless, slanting shadow across the adobe is such a great way to lead the eye all through the painting.  The many colors in the bushes and in the background bring it all together so nicely.  I love this one!
