Randy thank you so much for taking the time to comment and provide helpful suggestions. You are so right about the river, especially as it turns. I could easily change that. The foreground in the original photo does seem higher on the right, and I think I have just mindlessly copied that. I wonder if that is one of the perils of relying solely on them for reference? It’s probably also the reason I struggled with this one so much. I hate repainting a scene and usually stop at two attempts. This one is my third attempt! Thank you again for your very helpful input. Think I need to start taking a sketchbook with me. 😃
