    Hi everyone,
Thought I’d share an abstract that I did recently. I haven’t painted in a while and I usually paint in a realistic style with the subject being landscapes or still life, but these are fun to paint and to see what happens.

I also made a time lapse video of this painting.. first color to canvas starts at 1 minute mark I believe. The beginning shows putting on gesso and sanding between coats – but I think I will change the way I gesso all of my canvases from now on… using a more fluid gesso and using a scraper to fill in the weave of the canvas instead to make it more smooth.
Posted here if you’d like to watch (the quality of picture is better too I think)

I used Golden and Liquitex acrylics with glazing medium.
    24×30 acrylic on canvas.

    Thanks, – Chris

Welcome Chris! This is coming along nicely! If you are finished will you photograph it and crop out edges, etc.?
