Basic wash applied. Apply darker wash to center and fade and smooth edges with wet brush.
Foliage painted using leaf techniques. Change colors and combine techniques to produce variety of leaves
Wet background and drop in a variety
of colors, blues, greens.
Light red added to lower background while wet.
Small roses painted with Rose Madder using methods described later in this lesson.

Lower background darkened mainly in right corner.
