Watercolour Painting, My Way : Bowl of Fruit

 
Basic shapes of bananas in bowl - finished.
Using a darker mix of Burnt Sienna/French ultramarine, strengthen the shadow areas on the bananas.

Shadows are also added on each side of the bowl.

Above is a close-up shot, showing darker shadows and odd blemishes. The shadow in the bowl is softened, so that the banana disappears into shadow.
In the image above, you can see the ends are painted onto dry wash, and the edge is not softened. The dark shadow on the side of the banana is softened at top.
