| Fine lines of fluid can be drawn with a mapping pen. Drying time is quick. Washes can then be applied over the mask. When dry, rub off with a rubber putty or your finger to reveal the white paper preserved underneath. |

Fluid
can be flicked off the bristles of a toothbrush. Care must be taken, do
not load brush too much or you will get drips. I hold a scrap of paper
under the brush while flicking fluid to catch any drips. Couldn't show
this as I am holding the camera with my other hand.

The
splatter technique is not 100% controllable like a brush.
Mask off the area before applying. This will protect the remaining parts of the painting. |
