I think you're coming along well, the primary advice I would offer is the size of the subjects in your portraits in relation to the size of the canvas. Your 'Beautiful Nun' is fine but the others have little to no negative space at all. Negative space is necessary to give the subject shape, otherwise you risk your subject looking like just a flat, disorganised mass of colours. Even in cases where you want the subject to fill the canvas there needs to be a difference in how the subject is illuminated by the light. A good rule of thumb is to draw a line from corner to corner, where the lines intersect should be the middle of the canvas. In general you want the face of your subject to be near this line. There are times when it may be better placed differently but just as a standard rule this works best. Its just advice. ;-) By all means continue, you're doing fine. You may also wish to practice drawing and painting one physical object illuminated by a single light source. It can be a piece of fruit or anything with shapes similar to the human head but it must be a physical object, not from a photo. Good luck! :-)
