Re: Ledger

The flower is so appealing. I think the lines add something to it.

Re: Ledger

Hi Rainy Sea,
Don Colley explained to me that he started using old, used ledgers because (apart from the coolness - collage factor), these old accounting books were made with a a special "ledger" paper that had enormous amounts of sizing to accept and preserve ink. In the days of the "paper trail", accounting books had to be in ink to assure their authenticity; whereas pencil could be erased. However, today's ledger books today are just made from regular offset paper and therefore don't have the ability to accept wet media very well, as you have learned.

Re: Ledger

Good job on the bottle, Rainy!

As a fellow dog person, you might be interested in my next two days. As you know, we lost our two elderly Labs last summer. We were planning on taking a year off from dogs to do some additional traveling. I made it six months and started to do research on our next dog - which at our age could possibly the last one - and we've decided on a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I was planning on getting on a wait list for a pup due to go home at the end of the summer, and over the weekend found what sounds like the perfect breeder for us. She won't even put anyone on the wait list until she meets them in person and qualifies them, so I am shortly heading off on a 7 hour drive to Idaho and then tomorrow I'll visit her at her kennels and meet some of her dogs. The interesting thing also is that she has two 1-year olds who started down the show path but didn't enjoy it, so I'm going to take a look at both of them and see if one 'picks me'. If not, I'll go on the waiting list for the next litter. There are, of course, pros and cons to starting with either a puppy or a young adult dog. I'm taking a crate and supplies with me just in case...!
