Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

Thank you Viv, Joan, Debby, Margo and Tina.

Quick sketch of an elephant with a Derwent sketching pencil on S&B Beta. I'm not fond of pencil on this paper, has more texture than I like for pencils.

Marvelous elephant. Yes, the Beta has a lot of texture to it.

Well I like the way the elephant turned out. I think the textured background adds to the look. The paper we work on is such a personal preference though.

Wonderful sketches Rainy as always. My favorite is the baby bird. Very well done.

Nice job on the elephant. I love the sketch of the restaurant! I could sit down now and have a meal!

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

That's a great urban sketch Rainy. I think half of the point of urban sketching is getting down what interests you and on to the next thing. I always edit my sketches or I'd never get them done. Your waterlillies are super! One of my absolute favorite flowers.
