Bavarian Alps

This is a 60 cm x 80 cm acrylic painting which I did in december. It shows a winter scene in the bavarian alps.

Very crisp cold feel, which you have beautifully rendered!

Re: Bavarian Alps

Nice work! I especially like the way the mist travels around the sky!

Re: Bavarian Alps

me too....the mist is somehow mystery. I like the colours, the deepth, the trees, that are sometimes undefined and let us interpret the landscape in our own way, once we step back from the painting... (hope I expressed what I meant - michael: die angedeuteten, undefinierten bereiche ergeben aus der distanz interessante detailfülle, die wir scheinbar im gehirn neu zusammensetzen...eine kunst für sich)..

chapeau!
Your homepage I like too.

Re: Bavarian Alps

Michael, wonderful light touch you have. The Alps are so lovely, and you have done them full justice. Can't wait to get back to the Algäu in April.

Re: Bavarian Alps

I love it, it gives the feeling of cold and ridged quite well indeed. The blues give an icy feel to it.

Re: Bavarian Alps

Love your thin, almost watercolor-like use of acrylics. This one has nice atmosphere
