Re: Scavenger Hunt #253 14 Jan to 22 Jan 2012

Paul thanks, love your teddy and hat. Smoke detectors can be so annoying if they keep going off for no reason. Nice comfy slippers too.

Thanks Scatty. Love your flowers, so pertty, makes them even nicer when you grow them yourself.

Lin sorry to hear that your health still isn't too good. I can just see you sitting back in the chair with the cat leg in your ear, so funny, they really don't care who and how they share a chair with do they.

Joan nice line sketches. Lovely painting of the cafe too.

Joan - nice doors. Love the toilet - how appropriate. Nice bedroom dresser, lots of useful drawers there I see.

But the Restaurant is gorgeous. Have you been painting from your car agin? Did hubby mind waiting for his dinner while you painted the restaurant. It looks like a great place to eat. I be the owners will love it.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #253 14 Jan to 22 Jan 2012

Great list, Lin
Nice doorstops, Jacqui. Love the different views
Paul- Like the sketches, especially the cap and cute teddy bear. You got a good perspective view of the hallway. Well done
Scatty- Gorgeous flowers
Joan- Great stuff, as usual. Love the watercolor and ink cafe. How long does it usually take to do your wc sketches?

My arm has been kinda sore. It is feeling better now, so I guess I better get back to work!

Re: Scavenger Hunt #253 14 Jan to 22 Jan 2012

Joan - nice sketches, esp the mirror work in the bedroom. Cool watercolour of the cafe...
Paul - ooh perspective, tres bon, cool light too...
Kivrin - nice work on all, my your hooks are so tidy, there's so much on our hall pegs we can't see 'em any more, so hang our coats over the vacuum cleaner, radiator, door knob....must try harder, we are very untidy Brill shading on the knife...

Re: Scavenger Hunt #253 14 Jan to 22 Jan 2012

Well am two days late getting the list. Better late than never right? I did complete 1 sketch for the last hunt but never got to post it. I am still playing with watercolor and ink. Tried some wet in wet things and created several messes. I seem to do better wet on dry. I think it is a control thing.

Lin - unique list. very creative. Hope the back is feeling better.

Jacqui - nice work on doorstop and the challenge

m50paul - I think hating that smoke detector shrill is a univeral thing. The sound is soooo annoying. Nice work in bear, slipper, glasses Bruins cap brings back memories of years we lived in Rhode Island. Great perspective on the hallway.

Scatty - Love the flowers! Nice work.

Joan - Thanks for mini tour of your house. Nice sketches. Love the restaurant....even more now I that I have tried to use that technique.

Kivrin - You have a neat set of hooks. We are more in Scatty's style. Hang or place things on first available emprty spot. Naice work on hats and camera. Love the shading on the knife!

Happy sketching!
Joe

Re: Scavenger Hunt #253 14 Jan to 22 Jan 2012

Bookscorpion: Nices sketches, like your hat... Hmmm.. so I see you like dice too, I do as well, I like playing craps at the casinos... a game I never win... if by some odd chance of fate I am winning $$ in the casino I typically run over to the craps table to give it back

Kivrin65: Nice pickles... I really like pickles but haven't had any in awhile..
Hmmm... good discipline going on a diet... I need to take heed myself after the Holidays....

Two Sketches: graphite pencil
11) An outdoor interest -- couple walking (not my wife an I but you get the idea) we have some favorite spots and try to get out walking about 4 to 5 times a week not sure if this counts... I just do the stick figure live and put the clothes on after..... not good at capturing things that move.. I am way too slow......

12) Someone you live with --- my spouse

Having problem uploading and will do later....
