Thanks for your kind comments.

Great job you guys -- Joan, Paul, J.

Joan: Your rock rocks as well.

J: I am glad you can sketch despite not feeling so well. I esp. love Jo, the birdhouse, and your fingers.

Paul: Gorgeous landscape, art materials, and fun snowman.

Today BangkokSketchers group went to sketch at the Grand palace & the temple of Emerald Buddha. Iris went with me and sketch some. We have one member of Seatle's UrbanSketchers joining us, Steve Reddy.. He was on short-term teaching in China and makes his way to visit Bangkok. It was fun and Iris enjoyed the sketch out despite so many tourists at the palace.

Here is the pics: ...

WC is not letting me upload. I will try again later tonight.

Hi all, thanks Joan for the list.
Joan, what lovely paintings, great start to the week. All fab, love the boat and the feathers a stunner. Neat tastes good, and lovely land watercolour...
Ai, cool digi's, must check out that link. What a fab group of sketchers, and wonderful that you get them started young. Love the colourful sketches of the temple...
Jeanne - lovely work on those sketches, all are super...
Paul - neat work, especially like the building and the art goodies in oil...

...one from me, the challenge of a bunch of items. Aquapastels and watersol pencils on A4 cart paper...
1. something with a skin or rind - the green and cream striped coloquant, mini gourd...
2. basket - in which the arrangement sits...
3. round - clemetine
4. bird with feathers - one I use in my flower arrangements...
5. looks good - the little blue felt bag that has flowers and beads appliquéd to it...
6. from a tree - the little wooden turned lace-makers bobbin...
7. smells good - a lavender sachet...
8. tastes good - a chocolate...
9. rock - the amethyst that was my dear mummas...
sounds good - the silver bell who's handle is the cheeky laddie with his arms out stretched...
10. feels good - the peacock blue silk scarf...
11. something with fur - little pink teddy...
12. a pair of something - my lovely old clip on earrings, they're huge and blousey and composed of little white daisies. They were my ex's mums...
13. art item - pink handles brushes, yes pink n pearly. They're really make-up brushes, but if it work, I paint with it
14. feathers - pink again

Re: Scavenger Hunt #252 - Jan 6 - Jan 14

I have the original list and did not know about WC blowing up till this morning, I have a few from the old list done this AM, but I see they match the new one, so will post later

Joan, yourwater scened is gorgeous, as are the rock, feather and froma tree, your relaxing slippers are wonderful. (I like the smell of ink as well) how did you get the lettering in white on the tube of creme? good job. beautiful landscape too

Ai, neat digis,(neat textured bread) and Jo, I would love it if sketchbook pro worked on kindle, it would be fun to try, considered getting an android just for SBpro, but cannot justify another form of art media.
what a fabulous sketching group! and Iris did wonderfully well, your sketch of hte emerals palace is beautiful.
J: great pages , good idea for round and has a cover, sweet puppy sketches too, cool potery lamp and great job on apple and banana
get well soon!!
I added my name to the signup list, the week after I finish my next WDE
Paul good shine on th ice bucket, great perspective on the building, great oli work on the art supplies and wreath and cute snoman, the basket is nicely drawn, and mmmm pie and tea! and poker is relaxing? I would be SO stressed! hope you had a good time.
WOW you are on a roll and have just about all of them done! topping it off with pizza and cookies!

Hi Robin and Maisie
Kat OOOh I love your basket of bits! I adore your memory bits and teddy and brushes and bird, scarf and all the lovely pieces

Paul - Thanks so much! Great chip stacks. Hope your winnings were more than that. lol Glad you found items for the hunt up there. I like the stretching sketch. Is that you getting your body ready for another hand of poker? I'm ready to devour your pizza...or maybe the cookies. Nice job!

Kat - Thank you. Wonderful job on the challenge. It looks so harmonious. How large is it? I love the texture of the basket and the little items tucked in. Your sketches always have such treasures.

Bonnie - Thank you. I used a white gel pen for the writing. If I'm careful and wait for the color to dry completely it usually works.

10 - textured walls - watercolor and ink

11 - uses batteries - ink

12 - having a cover - pencil
