WDE Aug. 10 Car, Mansion & Scenery this week
Hi everybody!  Thanks for hosting, Ros!
I did this one early Sunday morning, before DH got up. It's 4" x 6" watercolor on some of the weirdest paper I've ever used. It's Called Master's Touch (from Hobby Lobby) 140 lb cold press watercolor paper. It has ripples and it can't take much abuse. It starts coming apart with very little prodding, and since I like blending on the paper, it was not behaving very well.
2 hours...
Around 3 hours...
Then, in bits and pieces later in the day, when DH was busy doing other things, I managed to do the car, mixed with the scenery by the lake. 
It's 4" x 6" and a bit under 2 hours, I'm guessing.

These are very nice Beth...I like the creativity with the car! If I had time to try the challenge I am tempted to try a painting your style, it brightens the room!

Me too! I'd love to do a Bethsville painting. I just don't have the talent for it!
Great work on both. I love how the mansion was completely surrounded by the green trees; I find the unusual crop of the car scene really pleasing!

Great paintings Beth!! Your paintings are always so full of joy. I love the mansion surrounded by all those beautiful greens. And I love that personalised number plate on the cool car.

Even with new uncooperative paper, you still manged to produce an outstanding painting under time restraints. Love the car too with the lake in the background. You are truly a super trooper.
