Cherries: WIP
To kick start myself after a long hiatus, I have chosen to paint cherries - possibly my most favourite thing to eat and smell. I am using my own reference photo below, Stonehenge 8" x 5.5" and Dick Blick Studio.

They look delicious. I like the highlights and the way you brought out the little imperfections in their skin and form.

Looks so yummy! Very nice work
How do you compare Blick Studio CP with Prisma in terms of layering, blending and burnishing?

I think I actually prefer the Blicks! They are much easier to control. I think they are very slightly harder so better at detail and they retain their sharp point a bit longer. They layer and blend very well indeed. I can't fault their performance at all.

Re: Cherries: WIP
That's good to know, I have Koh-I-Noor which I take is the one who manufactured Blick Studio CP's. The only problem with mine is I can't find any good darks like prisma's indigo blue and tuscan red. Does your Blick's have any of those similar darks?

I have the box of 72 and no, Bleuie, there isn't the darks that you mention. I did have to work hard to create darks in my cherries painting. There is equivalents but they are not as dark and there definitely isn't a match for Tuscan Red -

Re: Cherries: WIP
Thanks for pic Hazel, I only have the 24 pc set Koh-I-Noor Woodless. I mix paris blue and burnt sienna for the darks and sometimes I augment them with prisma but the tuscan red have a very low LF rating unlike the Koh-I-Noor. The reason I asked is because I'm thinking of purchasing the Koh-I-Noor Polycolor which is basically the same as the Blick Studio because they're the ones who manufactured it for Dickblick.
