Kivrin nice fingers and toes
Joe, gorgeous anniversary rose (which anniversary?)
Joan, wonderful christmas wreath scene (smells yummy too) and harbour scene. great fingers and painted toes
Viv: great job on good and bad, and the pets that move (or not) are wonderful, such a pleasure to see them all
Ai, your good and bad drawings are amazing, yummy strawberry and danish, beautiful mango tree (I suppose you have one of them in your garden too?) I love the vase of flowers even tho the water smells bad

Jacqui- I love the way you inked your digits, using ink as a wash, as with your other sketches, love tristin, and I too like the smell of ink
I have never heard anyone ask 'what is a christmas orange". we take for granted all we know in our world not realizing everyone has their own world that they live in.

2. toes

3 something from London- the shakespere globe theater- fridgemagnet

Re: Scavenger Hunt #248 - Dec 5 - 13

EP - Thanks. Cute mountie umbrella!!! Great way to do the fingernails and the orange at the same time. Yes, we call them clementines here and they are very available at the moment.

Viv - Thanks. It rained but I sketched from the car anyway. lol

Bonnie - Thank you. Good job on the painted fingernails...very sparkly! Cute magnet and super ink sketch of Kaylee.

I didn't get more than this sketched yesterday because I was meeting friends for dinner. It was raining so I sat in my car in front of a local nursery to sketch this. I had to keep turning on the wipers to see.

7 - seasonal - watercolors and ink

Re: Scavenger Hunt #248 - Dec 5 - 13

Bonnie - Thank you. Beautiful fingernail polish, it looks sparkly? - thanks for the photo. There's Kaylee snuggling up on your knee - looks very comfy! The new Globe theatre must be impressive - I want to get to see it one day. Have been to England and Europe on holiday twice but not for a long time. I see I need to go again.

Joan - Gorgeous Xmas scene! I like how you sketch from your car. I thought I'd try that too, and made an awful mess of it. Drum was in the back-seat hurtling around and barking at everything, which was very unsettling. So I gave up after 10min as it was impossible to concentrate with that going on! And to make it worse someone decided to come over to see what I was doing and stood talking (people here are always very interested in other people - in other words Nosey!)

Bonnie thank you. Great job on the finger and toe nails. Nice fridge magnet and bowl. Very cute nose and whiskers on Kaylee, lap sketches are so nice.

Joan great snowman. I love the extent you will go to for a sketch.

Viv you made me laugh thinking of you trying to sketch with Drum going psycho in the car and people coming over to check it all out. I think I'd give up pretty quickly too.

Bonnie: Thanks. The mango tree belongs to my neighbor. I love Kaylee sketch and the colorful rug. The nails are so special.

Jo: Hi. The soup was bad because It did not taste right and the texture was not even close to the yellow egg-drop soup. I was doing it by re-engineering approach.

Joan I'll give you my two for your sketch effort and the fantastic result. I love your snowman.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #248 - Dec 5 - 13

Viv - Thanks. I've had people come over to see why I was sitting in front of their house. lol I can't imagine sketching with a dog going crazy in the back seat. That's quite a picture to imagine. lol

Jacqui - Thank you.

Ai - Thanks so much.

I think I'm up to #8 - jacket (I know I'm pushing it but my sketching time this week is very limited) watercolors and ink.

Joan glad to see you are still sketching and painting. Love the jacket scene. Great idea for moving at varying speeds, does your watch move slowly I could swear mine goes at varying speeds Blender definitely go fast. Nice work on the good and bad tomatoes. I don't like tomatoes much myself so to me they are all bad.

I LOVE that umbrella mountie.....

Something from a place I visited...2 dates on the drawing, when I drew it and when we visited. The leaves dried beautifully! I love fall leaves.
Done in my 'Scavenger Hunt' Canson Sketchbook (5.5 x 8.5) using watercolours and .05 Micron.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #248 - Dec 5 - 13

Hi all! I managed to get one item done for the hunt, but am unlikely to find time to do more, and again have no time to comment. It's getting ridiculous: each hunt I download the list, print it out, and fantasize about what objects I'll use for my sketches, but then I never seem to have the time to do them! Oh well, it will probably be better after the holidays.

This is done in oils on canvas paper, approx 6x8 (and I struggled - a lot - with the transparency of the alizarin crimson paint I used for the red violet color of this red onion):

Thanks for the list EP - Oh, what plans I had for it! See you all (maybe) on the next hunt!

Meisie really nice job on the leaves.

Annie great looking onion. It is hard to find the time to sketch with so much else going on right now. I'm sure you'll get back to it soon.

Viv lovely seasonal wall hanging. Very bright and cheery.

Great job everyone: Joan, Meisie, Annie, Viv, and J.

Tone and I caught the variation of viral infection from Lily. We are trying to rest at home with screaming of Lily as the backdrop sometimes. I am not sure if I can sketch some more for this Hunt. I love everyone works. They are inspiring.
