Invitation to December Plant Parade-2011

Welcome to the Plant Parade for December, 2011!!
As you remember, Peeps, in October we looked high and low for little tiny mountain flowers!! Elaine was such a good hostess for that. . .or slave driver!! As we were looking, I was thinking about you and how rushed you would be after this trip and getting ready for the Christmas Season. Christmas is a time for preparation, anticipation, excitement, and dealing with the weather. . .no matter where in the World you are!! Taking all of that into consideration, we will have a variety of design ideas to think about so that it will fit everyone’s schedules! Your flower/s can be painted on anything and can be any size!!
Ø I like to give ACEO’s for gifts.
Ø Bookmarks are so special for that special someone.
Ø Christmas cards are memory makers when someone paints it for you!
Ø A coaster is sometimes a matched set. . .another idea.
Ø Remember months ago, some decided to paint placemats?
Ø What about a shirt painted with our flower of the month?
Ø Clear drinking glasses would be very unique, too.
Ø Clear bags could be used to hold cupcakes and other items.
Ø Wooden shoes. . .I’m trying to think outside of the box!!

Due date: Usually the 25th of the month, but that is Christmas Day, so, you have from the:

A favorite flower for this time of the year is the Amaryllis. . .our December flower!!
I have included some photos that have been downloaded into the RIL by our fellow artists! Pick one of these, find your own refs, grow one this month, plein aire, or just give us an original free style painting!! Be sure to include the size of your work, the medium that you used, the ‘canvas’ that we see, and the story behind it, when you post!!
The gift that I want to give you is joy and to have lots of fun with this Plant Parade!! Let this be your time to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season and just relax being with your paints!!
