I love your digitally altered image of 11/23. I would not crop your painting. The next one that you do on this subject, mute edges of painting...darker? but still with the rich beauty of your colors that you already have. This looks like a really great series to explore; The subject is beautiful. I would try several different approaches and stop working on one canvas and go on to the next so that you have several items of beauty instead of one worked over canvas.

Thanks Pioneer... a series huh? Interesting idea. This is indeed a subject I have painted in my head over and over again, seeing the sun poke through the trees as I drive over hardwood ridges to work and back every day. I can imagine many colour variations, from dramatic oranges to cool blues like this one. I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
