I like the strong colors, brushwork and the limited palette.

This is not a critique by any means, just an alternate observation - I wonder if it'd have been an idea to lessen the sharp contrast between shadow and light on the face i.e. replace the umber in the shades with a color similar to the light blue-violet on the side of her face, with just a few darker accents in the deepest/most receded areas? Perhaps that would have brought the flowers forward, and pushed the woman a little to the background.
