Glad you have found your tooth again!
I has been a good experience to meet someone from WC for me too. Someday we'll have to have an AbsCon meet-up somewhere - perhaps Costa Rica would be a nice choice!

John
Yes thanks - that's the desert island disc bit I listed
the national life story bit also good - its over 8hrs long more about early work and was recorded in 1994 so does not cover latter phase
And has any one read Terry Frost by Davis Lewis
Trying to work out if worth it as an expensive book
Thanks
Paul

Re: * Eclectic Cafe * (chat or share non ab/con work)
Anyone else have problems getting enough time to paint?
I say I'll play just a little while and before I know it the hubby is in bed and I feel as if I am neglecting him
I started doing mini-sessions here and there. So much to do so little time

Low-Brow Art
Q: How does low-brow art differ from surrealism?

Re: * Eclectic Cafe * (chat or share non ab/con work)
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. If not please advise the correct forum to use.
I am in the process of creating a series of 8x10 panels for a collection I am calling "Blood Sweat Tears" the panels will the clay on wood. The medium will be literal.
My question is what would be a good way to incorporate the sweat and tears into the panels. I have considered using litmus paper. The issue I am having is preventing the entire paper from changing. My next thought is to do water color and use these materials in place of water.
I am open to all suggestions. I plan on creating these in later March or April.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: * Eclectic Cafe * (chat or share non ab/con work)
I have a question. Some people dont use canvasses, they cut a piece of canvass and pin it/stretch it on a board, is there something I can buy and (what are they called) which will enable me to put a piece of canvas on a board, somehow screw it on, paint, and then easily take it off and do the same again without too much hassle....anyone know what these are called or if they exist.

Re: * Eclectic Cafe * (chat or share non ab/con work)
Hi Katie....
Not sure if I'm understanding your reason for wanting this - perhaps just to have a rigid surface to paint on and then later having an unmounted canvas?
You could use just about any rigid surface (wood, masonite or mdf - whatever) and use bulldog clips to hold it around the edges till you were ready to remove it. They'd probably leave an unpainted surface, once removed, which might measure 1/2 - 1 inch x perhaps 3 inches. And then you'd have to fill that in with your painted design.
Just a suggestion and maybe way off base from what you're hoping for.
