What's On Your Easel, October 2011
Welcome to What's on Your Easel for the month of October 2011!
If needed, please remember to place the butt icon.
Please post your oil paintings that you are currently working on or have just finished.
Everyone is welcome to post in this thread - Newbies and experts, as long as the work is in oil paint!
For the most part, this is a “show and tell” thread, if you would like more detailed help or critiques, the main oil forum would be the place to post and ask.

Lovin Art -
I really went all the way and added not one but four new colours... Hor-ray!
Can't Wait to play... I mean.. do a colour study with them!
Happy Painting.

Re: What's On Your Easel, October 2011
Hot day in London today so was able to return to Wimbledon Common and have another plein air attempt at a scene I painted last week. I didn't tone the canvas, which I thought may have been a problem, but think I've got away with it. Part of this exercise was to try and capture the values better; having looked at a grey-scale of this I feel I've got closer. Have to keep on trying to move up that learning curve! This is 11 x 14 on gesso'ed board.
Comments and criticism very welcome, thanks for looking.

Re: What's On Your Easel, October 2011
Nice work Graham, you definately succeeded with the values here and have a nice variety of greens. I like this a lot. It really has been hot one today, and more to come tomorrow, its not often plein airers need sunscreen in October in the UK!

Graham, so glad you are keeping up with your plein air. I like how you are catching the light with this one.

Re: What's On Your Easel, October 2011
Graham - Love the Greens. Makes you want to pack a Picnic Lunch....
How hot is hot in London? Today high is 86 F or 30 C - This is a nice temperature in California where I live.
Happy Painting.
