Re: Untitled

I like the feeling of your work
Almost everything–all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure–these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. – Steve Jobs

Re: Untitled

It reminds me of a busy port city!

So many colors, so little time...

Re: Untitled

Plenty of color. I do not read your goal but for me, see shaky buildings and a lot of debris flying about. If there were ripples on the reflecting waters it would be a Phenomenal for a very realistic title of 'Earthquake -Richter 9'
Not meant as a degradation, on the contrary, quite realistic on that level and is what jumps out at me at first glance. Color and composition easily suggest fires will grow. Your city would become a replica of the l906 quake in California.

Destructive scenes are extremely difficult to paint for many artists given the emotional connection we feel. It took me best part of three months to paint an erupting volcano. I think it is the human life loss as well as property destruction and the aftermath that follows gets to our frailer side.

Re: Untitled

On the whole - it is a bit too busy with too much debris - it should be a bit cleaner...

Thank you all for looking...
