Re: Sophia
This turned out really nice! I like the lighting on the hair, and her blue eyes!
I'm haven't done any portraits, so take my advice with a grain of salt...but I wonder if there should be a little darker shadow under her chin, and maybe her eyebrows shouldn't look quite so thin/plucked since she's a child?
It's still a very sweet painting! you did a great job on her face, she looks so young and angelic!

Re: Sophia
She looks like a sweetie, caught in a moment of looking up from picking her little daisies.

Awesome work. Love her eyes. Caught in a moment and not posed.

Re: Sophia
I love the expression. It reminded me very much of the child angels in old paintings of Raphael and other painters. She even has a "halo" around her hair

Re: Sophia
Elaine & Claudia....thank you!
The halo effect of the backlighting was one of the things that really caught me (along with those gorgeous blue eyes) when I looked at the ref pic!
@Elaine...I lurk some, but my muse was on vacation for a while...and I became even more reclusive...it happens sometimes.

Re: Sophia
Lovely work .I think the pupil needs to be larger as she has a starring look this is what happens when pupils are small. The eyebrow need to be soft in young children.
