Very good example of his brush strokes, and vivid color. Keep it up!

Re: My own version of a Van Gogh

I like it, it's very well done. I love the whole Van Gogh story and his paintings anyway. I like the bold colours and the 'life' in the movement created by the brushstrokes - different sections in different directions and swirling across the page. I keep meaning to have a go at breaking out of my style and doing a painting like this but feel almost 'addicted' to doing it the way I do it.

Re: My own version of a Van Gogh

Thank you all for your comments. This paintings was actually copyed from a painting van gogh painted from inside the mental asylum though the barbed wires. His paintings have always interested me since I was young, I also tryed to show alittle of me in this painting and not just do a straight copy of his work.

Re: My own version of a Van Gogh

Brush strokes are top notch.
I would try to soften the edges and try to develop more atmospheric perspective.
Keep up the good work!
